let's not pretend ReDisniey E-Dew is the end-all of Disney projects. He has openly admitted that he doesn't know everything and that decisions are constantly in flux.

Anyone can come in here and say they have "insider" info. Post some stuff, and end it with "take it with a grain of salt as anything can happen". Here, lets try:
The wand is scheduled to come down late this year or early next year. Its already been fixed into the budgets for EPCOT. Lets hope it stays in the budget!
Execs feel that due to the possible renaming of MGM to Disney Pixar studios, they want to start concentrating alot of the efforts over the past years and bring over some of the attractions from the other parks to make way for new attractions in those locations. First on the board? Lets just say you might see a little "comedy" over in the old MGM ABC building.
One last nugget, that info. you've heard about Joe Rohde working on a project for EPCOT, well lets just say you might have an extra "stop" to make in World Showcase. Hey, whats that kangaroo doing here?!
AS ALWAYS, take everything with a grain of salt as anything can and usually does happen in the Disney World.
By the way, Im an insider, so don't tell Disney I said any of this! I don't want to lose my high paying job with a huge company, but hey, its worth it to be popular on an internet message board.

It's not as though most of us seriously think ReDisniey is a fake--I know I don't, but I was just pointing out that he does not consider himself the end-all of every decision, so no debate on the scale of the 5th park is likely to be settled by him. And did he not state that he would only tell us what he can and not what he can't? Have you seen him discuss a 5th park yet? Then how much of a response do you think you'll get here?

I don't know, I just think its funny that people are so easily willing to accept this poster as legit, when he really hasn't told us anything. Its all been extremely general. He mentions stuff that people want to hear, and gets everyone a woody. He said Patrick Stewart was around. Never named an attraction or anything, yet he knows everyone is going to assume its SSE. So now what happens when SSE doesn't have Patrick Stewart do the voice?

or maybe we'll get:

And if Patrick Stewarts voice does end up being in SSE, then the poster will earn some credibility. Until then, I'd be very skeptical and not get your hopes up.

you are very cynical. Whether or not you believe him is your own prerogative, but I have yet to see any of our proven insiders question the guy or say "shut the hell up, you're full of it." For the record, I have seen them say something similar to our other pretend insiders. A healthy order of skepticism is certainly in order, but assuming he's just some jerk who gets a kick out of getting fanatics excited over character autograph books is a bit cold. Also, most of our proven insiders are vague when they need to be--ReDisniey has been very explicit on some things (like some of the stuff going on at HM) and vague with others. That's the game you play if you either want to protect your job or protect (and stay friends with) your sources.
I've been around a long time, believe me. Ya got nothin to worry about. It's all a circus, a three-ring circus. It's all a show business. Give em the old razzle dazzle, razzle dazzle em. As they say, bead and feather em. How can they see with sequins in their eyes?

Give 'em a show that's so splendiferous, row after row will crow vociferous. K I'm really done.

Obviously it will happen eventually. The questions are when and what it will be. The things it won't be is built before 2012, a coaster park, or a park of closed attractions.
He mentioned something VERY specific for HM. If it opens and its not there, it can be gathered he is making some of the stuff up, or at least getting it from somewhere else and repeating it. On the other hand, if it IS there, then you can go the other way.
That's funny. I thought this section of the board was called news and rumors.
Forgive me but if nothing else, the poster in question has injected some life into this sometimes vapid and always cynical board. (It took what, two posts before we got to the umpteenth gripe about the wand?)
Just like any rumor, and especially given Disney's pantheon of management, I don't have a problem knowing everything is, in fact, subject to change. I don't want to insult anyone here but just because the poster's name isn't Lee or Corrus doesn't mean they have zero credibility.
As for the original post, Fifth Gate of course will happen. Revenues and attendance are looking healthy. The question isn't if but when. My guess: 10-15 years.

People can believe whatever they want and this is news and rumors... However that does not mean that I or anyone else doesn't have the right to call out, critique, or doubt anyhting posted here.

Good grief....
The last thing WDW needs at this point is a 5th gate.
New rule. Any person starting a thread in regards to a 5th gate has to pay me 5 dollars as a nonsense fee. Steve will get his cut.
Exactly. Too much potential in the present parks.
I also question where WDW will get the staff.
HK and DLR will be the ones getting another gate. It would benefit them far more to do so. WDW has enough parks and entertainment going for it in order to attract visitors staying over 7 days. Additions within Studios for example will vastly improve it.
