My apologies if this was posted previously, I did a search on this forum to double check before I posted and was unable to find anything.

Doug Marsh, a contributor over at www.laughingplace.com was at the "What’s New, What’s Next" presentation for Disneyland Resort on 06/11/07 and wrote a report (with pictures and videos) regarding what went on inside.

In the article, Mr. Marsh writes about when Tom Fitzgerald of WDI came on stage to present a short video with Toy Story Mania pictures (Mr. Marsh provides the video clip shown, link below)...

"Explaining that these video tests were of work in progress, a sampling of various games was shown. Fitzgerald pointed out some of the details of the games, as well as some tips and tricks that would come in useful next year."

Toy Story Mania games include "Target shooting with the Green Army Men, Hamm’s Egg Toss, Bo Peep’s Baahloon Burst, and the Little Green Men’s Ring Toss."

You know, I don't see what the point is in having the Toy Story characters in it. It would be a perfectly good ride on its own without any characters.

It still looks very interesting though.

Thanks for posting that, it looks like it'll be awesome.

I agree that it would be cool to have a ride not based on a movie, but it's in MGM and they're working on a third Toy Story, so it makes sense.
I would rather see it be themed to some other movie, as there is already a Buzz Lightyear video game-ish ride, but I'm still excited for this to open. And the giant Mr. Potato Head makes me happy. :)

I watched the video on the Muppet Mobile Lab... was that built on top of a Segway?

Thanks for sharing

This attraction look like it will be a welcome addition to the studios.

Now if we could only get 2-3 more good attractions there, we could be on to something. (Although, I am not complaining, I will take whatever we are getting)

Maybe this might mean they would get rid of the Buzz Lightyear attraction? A new non-Pixar related science fiction themed attraction in Tomorrowland would be nice, wouldn't it? :)

The Muppet Mobile Lab is awesome, I'd really love to see more things like that in the parks.

How about it! That is one of the coolest things EVER! I would love to see that cruising around WDW.

As for toy story mania, It just looks like a better vesion of buzz. Thats not all bad because I do like Buzz lightyears SRS. I agree that they should shut down buzz once mania is up and running, it just seems so similar.

I really think this ride is going to be a great addition to MGM. These types of rides are really needed at MGM to attract families since imo there are not enough there.

What type of "ticket" attraction is this expected to be? (ie: E, D, etc?)

I'm not sure what I think about this ride yet based on the video. I guess I'll take a wait-and-see approach. :veryconfu

To Clarify how the ride will work. I'm under the impression that the screens will move with the vehicles, however someone more in the know could better explain this.

what probably could happen is that they will make it different every once in a while so they can change the games out with more current disney pixiar(sp) characters.
