Did a search that yielded nothing on the topic...

Does anyone have any projections of when we can expect to see the Muppet Mobile Lab in Disney World?

Currently, it's in Imagineering getting some updates and working out the faults.

I would estimate about 3 years before we'll see it here at WDW. It would more than likely go around the Muppet-Vision area when/if we do see it.

3 Years?...

That's pretty damn long. From seeing the video of the beta tests it looked like it was pretty much close to being ready to go.

I was thinking that in three years, Muppet Vision itself would be ready for a big update.

Why would Muppets need a update? That is pry the most timeless 3D film done. Sure at the end you see some people that are a bit out of date in their style, but you pay more attition to Kermit then them. I think it Disney ever gets on the Muppet band wagon again that show could be a must see again.

the only reason that show should not be updated is because that is actually jim henson's voice throughout the show...

other than that - it needs a major overhaul - it's an old show - the 3D effects are outdated - and most of them don't even seem "3D" - take the ironing board for instance -you know they thought that was going to be a real 3D effect -but it's not - at all... the show needs to keep the wacky humor of the muppets - but needs to be completely re-written and updated!

Well you have to remember that at no time will they be stooping to any "cheap 3D effects". I don't thing the ironing board was ever a good effect. Lets not give Disney any reason to want to get rid of it.

let me be the first to say that i would enjoy an entire muppet land with dark rides, zany restaurants, 3d movie and even a coaster - or heck - even an entire muppets park! haha - i would never want disney to get rid of muppet vision - but it does need some attention. it hasn't changed since opening... it needs some love. bring it to the year 2007 :)

I want to see it, I know a lot of people that want to see it. It still has a huge fan base and continues to delight audiences.

but if the attractions becomes very unpopular, should they keep it as a memorial...

I mean...MGM is a theme park, not a museum.....

i still love to watch it - i see it everytime i go to mgm... but - i haven't seen the theater filled more then 50-60% the last few times I've been there...

let me make one more point - keep the pre-show the same!!! HAHA!

I personally love the show, but it could use some updating. The only thing that scares me is the quality of the last few Disney made Muppet movies, I mean without Jim's guidance they could end up turning the attraction from an old classic to a new attraction that stinks (like Figment ver. 2, and 3). :lookaroun

Jim Henson did the voices of Kermit, the Swedish Chef, Rowlf the Dog, Mahna Mahna, Waldorf, Dr. Teeth, Link Hogthrob, and the newscaster on The Muppets Show.
