Grad nite wardrobe

I'm going to grad nite on April 28th and was just wondering what's appropriate to wear. I was reading the "Dress to Impress" section under www.disneygradnite.com and it didn't say anything specifically about what I would want to wear.

This is what it says about girls:
Girls--Dresses, skirts, shorts, casual pants (including jeans), blouses and tops, and comfortable shoes (including tennis shoes, dress sandals, and boots).

& this is what it says not to have:
-Any clothing affiliated with a school, professional sports team, group, club, etc. (Chaperones and faculty members will be permitted to wear school affiliated golf shirts or polos)
-Clothing not in good repair (torn jeans, pants, shirts, etc.) Jeans are okay as long as they are not ripped or torn.
-Revealing clothing (i.e. bathing suit tops or bottoms, cropped tops, see-through clothing, etc)
-Hats and/or Bandanas (Either worn or hanging from belt loops/pockets, etc.)
-All backpacks. Small purses and hip bags are okay.
-Weapons, knives, laser pointers or chemical irritants are not permitted. Students or chaperones not following this guideline will be dealt with at the discretion of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
-Alcohol and tobacco products are not allowed and will be confiscated and not returned if found onsite.

I have a strapless dress that is knee length or a little below, would that be okay to wear? Or could I wear a tank top with a long skirt? Also, are flip flops permitted?

Just wondering because I would hate to get there and not be able to go in. Thanks!

Since I'm male, I can't really help you out too much with your questions, as I only really remember what I wore last year.

I was able to dig up a few more specific dress styles to avoid:

FOR THE LADIES
• Halter and similar-style tops
• Tops that show the midriff
• Mini skirts or mini dresses

Sorry I couldn't be more help. If you have questions about other aspects of the event, feel free to reply.

Wow... I had no idea that Grad Nite had a dress code... interesting.

I also find it weird that you can't wear a school shirt on a night celebrating your GRADUATION. I guess it's to avoid fights or something? I'm not sure the reasoning behind it... but I'm sure there's some reason.

I found it very weird that you couldn't wear professional sports teams clothing. Guys at my school wear jerseys all the time... Hopefully they read over the dress code before they go.

I was planning on wearing a hat, but then it said no hats on "What to leave at home"...my hair is on the wavy/curly side and once I ride Splash Mountain it's time for me to put a hat on... Guess I'll just have to live with it!
