Splash Mtn History Question

hey all,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me when and why the queue for splash was changed? I am trying to remember what that area used to be but I remember it being different and I hope I'm not going nuts. Thanks !

They added fast pass. Whenever Fast pass started, I think around 2000

The original entrance was on the right side of the bridge where you can watch the logs come down.

Before the days of FastPass, you used to enter right after you crossed the bridge in front of the big drop. The walkway is still there, just fenced off now. I remember you could hear Brer Frog talking from that first lift hill.

They also had the extended queue wrap around the trees down by the store/photo viewing area. With those little houses that had cute voices coming from them. They still use that area if the line gets backed up enough and they extend the queue.

ahhh ok that makes sense......anyone have photos or a diagram? just as I remember it, it seems like a big change just for fast pass...maybe not though

Well you need 2 lines now: Fast Pass return and Stand-by. Makes sense to have them go to the same area, so as not to confuse too many people.

No it was not a very big change. they just removed the line from the bridge to the barn area.
