I'm not sure if this was posted or not, but the Mark IV Monorail Red is on eBay. Bids are up to $34,100 now.

Although it'd be great fun to own one, you'd need to have a small warehouse to keep it (like MouseSurplus). Though after paying $40,000+, I guess that'd be a drop in the bucket!

No, it isn't. Not at all. What would be sad is if it was still being actively used despite being so outdated.

No, it isn't. Not at all. What would be sad is if it was still being actively used despite being so outdated.

I didn't mean for it to be used... just not sitting in a field collecting dust. I'm glad it was updated, but I can imagine other places to put the vehicle than in a dirt lot.

Youi know, I am considdering buying this for that very reason! It would make a low cost nicely themed restaurant building.

I suppose if you buy it with a mouse pad and your total is over $50.

On top of the $34,000 (I'm sure it'll go for more than that) you have to factor in delivery costs, which are always insane on these things. I was looking at the auction earlier and I thought it said $2 per mile? I wonder how many of the bids are serious...

That would be too cool....he lives 2 miles from my house. I could see the monorail, and save 34K in the process!!

I was talking to a Dream Squad CM last week, and he thought it would be a great "dream" to convert a monorail car into a dining car (like the one in DL) and have special private meals there. I thought that was a really nice idea - they should buy back this car, rennovate it, and use it as a special dream dining experience.
