Concourse Steakhouse

Two Part Question:

1) I've heard rumors that the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary will be closing/relocating. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so when?

2) If it will be open if Feb. 08, I'd like to make ADR's there. Before I do, I'd like to get some reviews on it first. Anybody have any opinions on it, one way or another?

I've never been a huge fan. I've had all sorts of steak there through the years from a steak sandwich to prime rib to filet to NY strip, and I can't say I've had a great steak yet. Don't get me wrong, I've had some OK steak, but not great. In fact, the 2 best steaks I've had on property came as a shock to me. The California Grill (I did not have high expectations for steak) and The Maya Grill. I've been to Maya 4 times now and each time the food has been stellar!

Yes, its closing and no, it doesn't look like it will be relocated; really not sure when this will all happen.

We have always enjoyed our meals there, but have found The Yachtsman Steakhouse & Le Cellier better.

With the advent off all the different restaurants it just may have come to the end of its life. :shrug:

I have reservations at the concourse steakhouse during my Aug 31 to Sept 9 2007 trip. So it will be open at least thru september

Concourse actually excels at non-steak dishes like Stickey Mickeys (in the morning), Seasame encrusted tuna (stunnin presentation too), and salads (very yummy).

So, it's really a good place for lunch or breakfast.
