Looking for X-2 "Deep Space Shuttle" info

I very much like the concept of the X-1 and X-2 spacecraft from Epcot's 'Mission Space". I found an old "Mission Space" site from disney.go.com which is apparently from 2003 and does not fully work any more. They offered downloads of screen savers, posters and schematics of the space craft were available -but not any more.

Anyone know where I could get such information?

And Dang! I wish I bought that toy of the X-2 when I had the chance!:brick:

Well, the X-1 was based off of a ship from the movie Mission to Mars. Mission: Space was originally intended as a tie-in to the movie. However, the movie didn't do so well, so most explicit references to Missoin to Mars were dropped, though the gravity wheel in the queue was part of the set for Mission to Mars. The X-1 seen in the queue might even have been the shooting model for the move, though I'm not sure about that. Here's a link to info about Mission to Mars: http://imdb.com/title/tt0183523/

As for the X-2, I'm pretty sure that they're still kept in stock in the Mission: Space Cargo Bay. Therefore, you can order one through WDW Mail Order at 407-363-6200. Good luck!

Get the toy off Ebay, or Call Disney and ask for one, they still have em.

Capt Hank,

That's just what I did today. I called that same number (Shop Disney.com gave me the number) and when the sales rep on the phone told me the computer read zero stock, I told her I was at the gift shop a few days ago and they had them. After a few minutes on hold, we were on line together talking to the gift shop manager who said, 'we always keep them in stock'.

It should be arriving in 10 to 20 days. Thanks for the input guys.

Now to find a copy of that schematic.......
