I am sure this has already been said.

But today on my Disney Link they had a notice about the changes to the El Rio del Tempo ride in Mexico.

It talks about the Three Caballeros overlay for the new ride.

This is what it says:

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros

At Epcot’s Mexico pavilion, “Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros” debuts (replacing ‘El Rio Del Tempo’) with a new storyline and film featuring Donald Duck, Jose Carioca (the parrot), and Panchito (the Mexican charro rooster) from the 1944 film “The Three Caballeros.”

The “Gran Fiesta Tour’ film features an animated overlay of the caballeros being reunited for a grand performance in Mexico City. Along the way, Donald disappears to take in the sights of the country leaving Jose and Panchito to search for their missing friend.

In addition to the new film, the boat ride’s props, set facades and sound system have been refurbished and enhanced.

I tried to copy it but it would not let me. It part of the Disney Link interact display that sends me automatic messages.

I also tried pressing the link that said more information, then it takes me to the Epcot discription for the park that does not include the new ride details....... very frustrating.

Can we get a copy of the description or a link to the text?

Here'e the text from what Disney Link says (I'm scared of this):

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Cabrellos"

At Epcot's Mexico Pavilion, "Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Cabelleros" debuts (replacing "El Rio Del Tiempo"). with a new storyline and film featuring Donald Duck, Jose Carioca (the parrrot), and Panchito (the Mexican charro rooster) from the 1944 Disney film "The Three Caballeros."

The "Gran Feista Tour"' film features an animated overlay of the Caballeros being reunited for a grand performance in Mexico City. Along the way, Donald dessappears to take in the sights of the country, leaving Jose and Panchito to search for their missing friend.

In addition to the new film, the boat ride's props, set facades, and sound system have been refurbished and enhanced.

Personally, I think the attraction will be a mild hit, and if it proves successful, we could be seeing more changes to the World Showcase in the future...

Agreed. The tired ride, as it was, was long overdue for a rehab.

You're right. I loved that ride to death, but it really needed work. Those videos were just so outdated and....bad. Let's hope they still embrace a bit of the educational value of WS. I'd hate to see it go.

At least they're replacing a classic with a classic. (I do hope they keep some of the song though.) I do think that the finale should be better than those creepy things that went spinning around.

Try having too many margaritas next door then seeing those freaky things spin...OH MAN...

At least it's an original concept. :lookaroun

Gran Fiesta Tour (The Seas) Starring The Three Cabrellos (Nemo and Friends)

At Epcot's Mexico (Seas) Pavilion, "Gran Fiesta Tour (The Seas) Starring The Three Cabelleros (Nemo and Friends)" debuts replacing "El Rio Del Tiempo (The Living Seas Seacabs)." with a new storyline and film featuring Donald Duck (Nemo), Jose Carioca (the parrrot) (Marlin, the Clownfish), and Panchito (the Mexican charro rooster) (Dory) from the 1944 (2003) Disney (Disney-Pixar) film "The Three Caballeros." ("Finding Nemo")

The "Gran Feista Tour" (Seas with Nemo and Friends) film features an animated overlay of the Caballeros (Nemo and friends) being reunited for a grand performance (musical finale) in Mexico City (the aquarium's main tank). Along the way, Donald (Nemo) disappears to take in the sights of the country (the Big Blue World), leaving Jose (Marlin) and Panchito (Dory) to search for their missing friend (friend/son).

In addition to the new film, the boat ride's (attraction's) props, set facades, and sound system have been refurbished and enhanced.

:brick: :brick: :brick:

Still, I'll give it a chance.

I'm not sure I'm quite ready to give up calling it "El Rio Del Tiempo"...I don't like these dumbed down names..."Starring the Three Caballeros"...it should just be called the Gran Fiesta Tour with pics of the Three Caballeros in the logo...rant aside, it sounds like it should be fun. Will it be rethemed as a Tour company, though? Some of Disney's best rides feature a slightly screwy company offering a tour where things go wrong...that's basically Animal Kingdom right there. It'll work if they threw enough money at it.

How do you get Disney Link on your desktop?

I'm excited to see this after it opens...sounds interesting at the very least. Hopefully it will only bring good things to WS.

I guess DisneyLink doesn't work on Windows Vista yet...but what else is new. I had trouble finding mice compatible with Vista, so why should I expect the Mouse to be...frustrating.
