Love the Rings trilogy... SUCH good movies. And no, I'm not an Orlando Bloom fan. :hurl:

It's from one of my favorite authors - Erma Bombeck -and it's from a longer piece called "If I had my life to live over" It makes you think...

I love Erma Bombeck. I miss her.

So.... has anyone else had a dream about anyone else here.... not that I have, but I have this friend and he, I mean she, may of had a dream and he, I mean she was curious as to if this is normal or not!

I have and it is weird. But fun.

I don't *mind* him, it's just tough to be a girl and say you like the films... everyone's always "Ooooo! You just like Orlando!" Drives me crazy.

  I have to admit, when I saw Legolas' costume, I joked with DH about there being drool streaks on the glass! I don't know why girls can't like LOTR, the women in the films are portrayed as very strong women, and the attention to detail is astounding....as a potter, I catch myself examining all the different kind of stoneware created for the films. I guess what I really value in the films is their artistic expression.
Am I a geek or what?

I dated a guy in college for a couple months and he gave me a "Future Mother of his Children" Mother's Day card... :lookaroun Scary, huh?

That's funny...I always say I'm allergic to needles. Actually, I say that for anything I don't like.

Sounds like the stalker I had in highschool..

I didn't know they even MADE cards like that.. creepy.
You all promise not laugh or freak at....... my friend?

*points*

Why, no. We never laugh at each other here...:lookaroun

My biological clock will get me anyway. Even if I'm scared to death or grossed out, I still want one eventually.

I still haven't accepted the final "outcome" as it were, of this whole thing. The whole, "I have to push WHAT out of WHERE?" thing hasn't set in yet.

I'm a card-carrying dork, if it makes you feel any better. They actually made ALL the pottery specifically for that film, and crafted different kinds for each race and part of the film. The amount of detail that went into those films is staggering.

Never saw any Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter movies..

You can keep the HP ones... trash as far as I'm concerned. You're not missing much there.

But the rings ones are GORGEOUS. If you don't even care about the characters you can at least keep yourself busy watching the amazing real-life locations and the beautiful cinematography.

Umm..I do not know....:)

now tell us!

*Cough, Cough!*

Okay, so
I'm at my house and my wife comes into my room and says there are two people at the door to see me. I'm thinking ok, go to the door and there is Nibbs and her husband, stopping by to say hi. I'm thinking, ok this is really weird! Nibbs, your husbands name was Joel (if that is his real name I am leaveing the thread permantley). Well, the four of us had dinner, we talked about Disney and this thread and the others here on the thread.... Then they went home. I woke up thinking, ok , maybe I need to back down on the thread posting! Then the bigger issue hit me from that dream...
Here Nibbs comes over to my house and the 4 of us share in a nice diner, I go to introduce them and she says this is my husband Joel and I am......
