 That's awesome.

:o I can't even imagine. Amazing how in the same week you and I were going through such massively different things and didn't even know each other yet.

Weird. Life's full of odd coincidences like that.

Like It's going to be almost exactly a year from when I had my surgery..

I wish. Once I got there I had to push for 2 1/2 hours solid (not that that's all that horrible, but it was exhausting) b/c kiddo got stuck and I refused to agree to a Csection unless she was in danger. They kept asking and asking - and I told them as long as she was ok I would just keep pushin... eventually it paid off. Fun times fun times.

Jay always makes fun of me because I say that I'll be asking for a C-section. I have no desire to have a certain area stretched out beyond all recognition and never return to normal. I also think stiches on the belly are much easier to care for than stiches somewhere else :)

It is true..but apparently she was meant to be....:)

Im happy with the end result..but do not want to go through that AGAIN!

And thank God for that! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:  :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Indeed! :sohappy:
And Dana. . .chances are, if you did do it again, everything would be fine!
It is so true that no two pregnancies are alike.
Unless, of course, there are existing circumstances. . .

It was bad...But I was soo focused on her living that I lay there and rubbed my cross...I snuck it in....and prayed she would live..I guess I just pushed all the pain out of my head...Drew knew too..I told him right after they took her out and he started to cry..I just told him to go make sure she was okay and I was fine...My doctor apologized like crazy when he found out

Cannot even imagine.....
You're my new hero! :)

 I had a midwife team that gave me enough advice (which i won't post here... but would be glad to share should you ever need it... in a PM) so that I knew I wouldn't have to get stitches at all... and I didn't. Annnnnd way TMI but things do return to normal. ;) I assure you. :D

Mine too. Hands down.

I had DD (9 1/2 lbs.) naturally with no pain meds, and DS by C-section. Trust me the recovery from the section was 10 times worse!!!!!

That area actually goes back to normal fairly quickly, and the stitches dissolve pretty quick too. It's your midsection that has trouble shrinking again, because it's been stretched for months.
So, have I completely grossed out any man that might stumble onto this conversation? :D

At the time we were living in a townhouse too... so all the bedrooms were upstairs while all the living areas where down... I knew I'd never make it having to stay downstairs for 6 weeks so i was REALLY pushing to not have a C.

Like she isn't spoiled rotten already!
But I say, spoil away! She deserves it. . .and so do you!

And there's a differance between spoiling and just alot of love. You love Maggie more than life Dana... but she's a very sweet and happy baby. She's not spoiled in the bad sense... just Loved alot! :sohappy: ;)
