I know there was a press event tonite at MK. I was told that it was filled with execs. Only about 1400 people there also. Not real sure what it was for.

They'll likely announce...

Toy Story Midway Mania for both DCA and MGM
DVC at Contemporary Resort in WDW
DVC at Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at Disneyland Resort
Pirate's Lair At Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland

Maybe they'll even announce there is more new rides like Carland coming to DCA?

Not sure what they are doing at this point. The clock shows the announcement to take place in 4 hours and 40 mintes which would be 10am Orlando time. The annoucement for the catle suite winners went out last night...atleast I thought.

Another thing I wouldn't be surprised to see them annouce and brig forward is the new look for the Disney.com website. It's supposed to be ready by the end of this month.

20 December 2006: January 2007 press events

Disney are holding some press-only events in late January to officially open some recent attractions, and to make some announcements for new projects. Remember, these are for invited press only. If you are in the parks during these days, check the operating hours, as they are sometimes modified to accommodate the events.

The event will kick off on Wednesday January 24th 2007 with the premiere event for Finding Nemo - The Musical. Later that evening, The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends will have it's grand opening event.

Thursday 25th January 2007 will see the events move over to the Magic Kingdom, where the media will get a first look at The Laugh Floor Comedy Club and the Cinderella Castle Suite.

Friday January 26th 2007 will see some future project announcements.

Maybe they are announcing one of the big trips that they are giving away. I know that they have that 14 day trip (I think it was that long) that brings the guests to all Disney parks.

is today the first ofical day of Million dreams if so that might be all. i hope not but you never know disney knows it has its loyal followers and they also know doing a countdown will get many people thinking about the parks. i hop the is not just a gimick to get people to disney and we actually get some news of things to come
