Contemporary Games concept art

Here's some photos of the concept art that was hanging on the outside of the now defunct Fantasia giftshop on the 4th Floor Concourse at the Contemporary Resort.

Fantasia has had refurbishment walls constructed around it, though the adjacent sundries store still exists, and many of the internal kiosks have ventured outdoors to makes a pseudo store outside.

So what will become of the area where the games currently are? Are they expanding the counter service area? It sure needs redone. Of all of the resorts, that restaurant is the tackiest!

I miss those old penny arcade games too.
I have only seen about 5 of them scattered around WDW outta of the many they use to have.

The Arcade reminds me of the one from Tron. Don't know why.

Disney will never bring back the Penny Arcade games. After all they make 2500% more money from a game that costs a quarter to play.

I dont think I have ever seen anyone complain about NOT ENOUGH shops!!
One of the biggest problems with WDW is the abundance of shops!! Every place they can fit retail they put one. Just look at Main st. Magic Kingdom, the Emporium takes up the whole right side!!! And the exits to rides, and all the vendor carts everywhere. They make alot of money on impoted Chinese trinkets and junk.

Thank goodness they are re -doing it... the whole resort, in my opinion looks awful... like something from a bad 80's movie... Hopefully when they are done the contemporary will really be a place we all want to stay at. My problem is that the place is just so bland. The remodeled rooms look great but that isnt enough to make me want to stay there... the contemporary needs a little style and theming .... it looks like thats what its about to get... and with the addition of the rumored and un-avoidable dvc tower that is coming soon I think the contemporary will be a lively and sought after resort once again... I hope there are some plans for some re-theming/remodeling of the pool and recreation areas too though.

^ The arcade is being moved from the first floor to the fourth floor concourse.

It is replacing the Fantasia gift shop. I don't really mind, I liked BVG better.

I guess I'm in the minority of people who actually like the look of the Contemporary.

But when it first opened the hotel fit the themeing of the current Tomorrowland so now that land is different mabey the Contemporary should be redisinged to look like post 1995 Tomorrowland. Imagine Sony Eclipse playing in the four-flour concorse while Disney characters are teleported to your table at Chef Mickeys.
