Coronado springs foodcourt

Hi, I was just wondering about the food court at the Coronado Springs. I've heard a lot of different and conflicting things about it, and I just wanted to get the story straight. I know it's "different" than the common Disney resort foodcourt. First, is there a 10% gratuity added to the bill? Also, is it more of a sit-down restaurant type? or do you still go up to the counter to order? Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Pepper Market is like other resort food courts in that there are several "shops" or stations. You go to the appropriate place(s) and place your order(s), and then you pay at a common cash register. What's different is that you don't carry your food to the cashier. Your food will be brought out to you at your seat. Added to your order total is the 10% gratuity for the servers who bring you your food.

When we were there Dec. 22- Dec 30th they were no longer bringing you your food. You walk in the hostess will find you a seat and give you your order card. Then you go walk around, get what you want and they will stamp your order card accordingly. YOU take your own food with you back to your table. After you eat you take your card to the cashier and pay. The only thing we could figure was that extra 10% went to cover the hostess finding you your seat. We got our own drink refills etc. (not worth it in my opinion). BUY YOUR MUGS BEFORE YOU EAT at the little snack store. This way you don't pay an extra 10% on top of the cost of the mugs. That nearly happened to us and we got it corrected (an extra 10% on top of 12 mugs does add up).
Not as kid friendly as we would have liked. No hot chocolate with the resort mugs, no slushes etc. soda and coffee only.

I don't know if its outdated. they could have just changed things during the holiday crush.
This was the first year they didnt do little Christmas greetings/goodie bags on the doors of rooms. we asked and were told they cancelled them at all resorts not just CSR do't know if thats true or not.

I think the server is supposed to get your drink refills, which is what the 10% is for.

Here's a tip:
Get your food to go. When you enter the Pepper Market, tell the hostess that you'll be taking your food To Go. She'll give you a special card. Then when you order, make sure the chefs know you want your food boxes to go. When you pay, they won't charge the 10% fee. (Double-check when the cashier is ringing you up) Then you can eat in the lounge next door, outside in the sun, or back in your room. The only thing you sacrifice is unlimited drink refills.

I like the breakfast buffet at CSR. Never have eaten at the food court, seems to complicated for a simple early breakfast, we don't wake up until that first cup of coffee!!
