Do you tip at Palo?????????

I've heard that you should leave a tip in addition to the $10 extra fee for the servers at Palo... I've heard of people leaving as much as $50 extra because DCL keeps the $10 and the servers only get the tips. The $50 was based on what the people thought the meal would be worth in the real world...

Can someone clear this up - Disney says the gratuity is included but others say it is definately not...

HELP!!!

As with everything else, if you feel your service is exceptional, leave a tip accordingly. Certainly you do not have to feel compelled to leave a tip just because others have.

The $10 extra you pay is for the increased quality of food and environment you want to experience by dining there instead of in the main dining rooms. It does not go directly to the servers.

While $50 might be a good tip for a party of 10, we always just left $5-10 for the two of us, depending on the experience....which was almost always GREAT!

Tipping is such a personal matter, that it is really up to you as to the amount, but for someone to tip on what they think they might have paid for that meal off the ship is overly subjective, and pretty crazy. Perhaps they have forgotten that they have already paid for their meal in the main dining room that they are not eating by choosing to dine at Palo.

I'm sure you'll do the right thing. You're gonna LOVE IT!

I've always found that if you tip a couple dollars a day at a resort, your service turns out much better. I prefer leaving loose cash with a note on my pillow every morning before heading out to the parks every morning, rather than one big tip at the end of the trip. As for how much you should tip, that is up to you.

Thanks much...

I agree.. tipping a comfortable amount is appropriate I think...

I think these people are assuming that you NEED to value the meal the same way you would a 5 star restaurant, as one said... IN MONTE CARLO!!!

I think I'll stick to Disney and leave Monte Carlo to them!!!
