Is there anything to do with the doodlebops, or monsters inc at any of the parks?

Hi there,

Unfortunately there is nothing Doodle Bop related. However, there are a couple of Monster's Inc experiences.

In the Studios, on Mickey Avenue, there is a Monsters Inc Meet and Greet with Mike and Sully.

Also, the opening date is not yet confirmed, but this spring in Tomorrowland, the Laugh Floor with Mike, Ros and a number of other monsters will be opening. This will be like a comedy club as the monsters try to catch laughter to generate more energy. You may be lucky in that it may be open when you go.

Sounds fantastic. Shame about the doodlebops though , my 1 and a half year old is facinated with them. Santa got her some doodlebops toys all the way from america which she loves more than anything else!

We are in the uk btw.

I know what you mean rik. I have an 18 month old and a three and a half old - they love the Doodlebops (and everything Pixar), along with Bear and Little Einsteins. We hunted everywhere to get them Playhouse Disney Souvenirs (there are only two places - near Playhouse Disney in the Studios, and World of Disney at Downtown Disney).

We live in the UK too. Any questions, happy to help as we just got back.

thanks, what is downtown disney like? We didnt go there last time in 2003, whats it all about

It's a shopping area. They had all kinds of different stores. My favorite is the World of Disney. They have everything! If you see something in a park that you like you can probably get it there. They also have new sections for the Princesses and Pirates in the family. We hit the Bibbiddi Bobbiddi Boutique while there and had our Princess's hair done. (make a reservation for it) I love the Christmas store too. It's open year round. The Lego Store is cool. Make sure to check out the Lego displays in the water. There are also great resturants there. I like Wolfgang Puck's express place.

I hope that helps and that some of the others can add stuff I've missed.

Actually Mike and Sully are on Commissary Lane right across from the ABC Commissary. The hours are usually listed in the times guide when you get to the park. We've seen them there quite a few times.

Ooops, my mistake, thanks for the correction.

Also, Downtown Disney has a great Ice Cream Parlour - Ghirardelli's. Some of the best shopping. Disneyquest indoor theme park - video games, so not the greatest for you 18 month old - but the older one may like it.

Some wonderful restaurants (and Pleasure Island with the Adventurer's Club and Comedy Club are fantastic if you get babysitters).

It's the one Disney park you can miss and not miss a thing. Aside from a couple of experiences for little boys and girls (makeovers) they don't offer anything special beyond what you will find in the parks stores. The only thing the place seems to offer grown-ups that may be of interest is pleasure island which is a strip of bar/clubs.

Considering you will be taking young kids though, don't waste your time going there use the time wasted getting to it to get them on a couple more rides/shows.
