Best Food Experiences in WDW

Do you guys have memorable times in WDW where the food no matter what it was, just tasted amazing because of where you were?
I was just thinking about the hot dogs, saurkraut, and chili on main street that we ate and just as we sat down, Cinderellabration was going on. With all the music and magicalness in the air, that was one of the best hot dogs I ever ate! :)
My other times are the Mickey Pizzas I used to get in the Electrical Umbrella at EPCOT before Illuminations, and the full on experience at BOMA that is the best buffet in the world hahah :) and yeah I've been to Las Vegas:lol:

so I was just curious what you guys thought of...and how WDW's magic can make even a hot dog taste gourmet.

For me, everything tastes good in Disney. I don't really think it's the fact that it's the finest cuisine. It's because I'm in Disney. Beaches and Cream has the best tasting cheeseburgers. The buffet at Cape May Cafe is awesome. It's probably the same quality as many other places but it just tastes better there. The chocolate frappes at Ghiradelli's are fantastic. It's ice cream, milk, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream just like everywhere else but the taste as you walk around DTD just seems better. It's all about location, location, location.

I do think atmosphere has a lot to do with it. I will swear to this day that the cookie sandwiches, burgers, popcorn, Dole Whips, and other MK foods have COCAINE IN THEM! I said it. I know there is some big coke stash outside Epcot or something. Only logical explanation. But, I digress...

Some of my best memories are the Food & Wine Festival. Just great. I also really enjoyed Boma. It was a way to be adventurous but still have some familiar items if you want a trip back to "America-ville". I also have had wonderful times at 'Ohana, Artist's Point, and California Grille.

Soooo many memories....

My first time dining with my new bride at Le Celliar.

The first time we ate at Chef Mickey's with our kids.

That first Premium Mickey Bar, the last Premium Mickey Bar, and all of them in between, on each and every trip.:lookaroun

Loved Cinderella's Royal Table, it's so magical in there, and the way everyone gets so excited when the Fairy Godmother comes out, ooooh, it just gets to me!

Aww... I have a bunch! We had our rehersal dinner at California Grill - the waiter was fantastic (He even checked the score of the Bears game for us), the food was sooo good, it was just a great night.

After our ceremony we had dinner at Yachtsman's Steakhouse. The food was wonderful, but I was even more impressed by the service. EVERYONE, from the manager down to the busboy, went out of their way to make the meal enjoyable. It was perfect.

Back in 2000, my roommates and I went to Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast (to celebrate the beginning of our College Program). Again, the food was great, but didn't compare to the service. The waiter knew we were CMs, which can usually work against you, but he treated us as well as, if not better than, the other tables around us. We made sure to stop at Guest Relations on the way out to leave a compliment for his manager.

I've also NEVER had a bad meal at Animal Kingdom or the DAK Lodge. Tusker House, Flame Tree, Pizzafari, Boma, Jiko and Mara are all fantastic! I hate to see what might happen to the food in the park when the new full-serve restaurant opens.

I have to ask! Where on Main Street are the hot dogs, saurkraut and chili? Sounds great to me!!!

Two years ago I was staying with my family in the Wilderness Lodge when Hurricane Charley came across Florida. The night the storm hit we had dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. They actually moved everyone to tables in the middle of the restaurant-away from the big windows. That meal, and the night in the hotel that followed are among the most memorable times I have had in Disney. There was a real feeling of community during the storm. The cast members, many of whom suffered damage to their own homes, were stranded at their job for 3 days. But despite their own peronal struggles, they still really made all the guests feel safe and at ease.

A hot dog from Casey's sitting anywhere on Main Street is great. I remember eating one at 3 am on an e-ride night on the first night of the trip that spawned my Disney obsession.
We've also had some memorable dining at the California Grill. They served us a mini Disney wedding cake my now-husband had ordered for me as a surprise during our engagement trip.
