hi, just got back from dlrp
we dint do the birthday meal thing with the cake as it was about £20 for the cake which we thought was a bit much. glad we didnt we saw two parties that had the cake one at the blue lagoon the waitress just bought it out let them blow the candles out then took it off again to be cut up,at the end of the meal there was a lot of cake left! looking at it it was only a 'supermarket' type cake with a mockey mouse ribbon around it with some candles
the second party was in the cafe mickey character breakfast, they put some birthday music on a ll the staff sang and all the characters went around the table which was nice for them but it was the same type cake, and agin alot of it was left!.
we didnt do it and were gald we didnt just the character breakfast at mickeys was enough the do come around your talbe and spend some time with the kids and having photos and stuff.....thing goofy was having a bad day tho has his mannerisms were a bit rude ie throwing the pens back on to the tables sometimes landing in the guests food! and then walking off.
but it was great for the kids but disney usa do it better!!!!

We're Back!

Ok first off i would like to say it was an incredible trip..although you do get that horrible feeling when you're walking round thinking that florida would do that better etc. we also found that guest relations were awful, extremely rude and we were glad we only had to deal with them on our first day!

The hotel was lovely...Its all set up really well it looks like a real wild west cowboy town...we stayed in sitting bull (17) whichwas in the perfect place for distance too the playground, the parks and the shuttle bus. There is a kettle in the room but REMEMBER to take your own tea or coffee if not you have to buy this off them and its not cheap! Our first evening there and we went for a walk over to Disney Villagem which was loveky we starrted off in Annettes but the atnosphere was horrible, the staff were rude so we left and went over to Planet hollywood where the staff were lovely and the food was yummy

Everyone was a bit tired after being up for almost a whole day so we all went back to the hotel but i jumped back on the bus (every 12 mins max journey lasts about two minutes) and just wlaked round disney village where the atmosphere was lovely and i felt very immersed in the disney spirit.

We had our breakfast booked for 7.45 the next morning (wrning book on arrival for breakfast and always try to get the fantasyland breakfast see below for more detail!) but we all overslept so just got up and went straight to the parks. There is a chearacter meeting thing evey mornin in reception from 8.30 until 11.

The main park is great, lots to do, the paarde is ok, the evening christmas thing witht he characters at 5.30 in front of the castle is not to be missed and generally lovely day! we had dinner at Cafe Mickey..which we thought looked a bit tacky from the outsdie butoh were we wrong. we were seated upstairs in the corner window..the food was yummy (if a lil expensive), and the characters came out every half an hour, minnie, eeyore and goodfy and smee in one set mickey, tigger, Geppeto and pluto in the other set. after they have signed all the autographs at all the tables the music comes on and they dance with everyone.. LOTS OF FUN!!!!!!!!!! cant tell you how much fun this meal was!
NOW IF ANYONE HAS A BIRTHDAY YOU REALLY SHOULD TAKE THEM HERE! we had the birthday cake which cost 22 Euros. Afer e finsihed our meal, the birthday music started really loud then Mickey Mouse himself brought out the cake and a crown for zac, which he put on his hand then danced with him then held him up to blow outthe candles...zac was amzaed all the characters came out withmickey and all crowded round the table and everyone in the restaurant was clapping! really eally glad we did this NO REGRETS AT ALL!!!!!!!!!

now the next morning we had booked for the fantasyland breakfast. this means you go in the park an hour early and have your coninential breakkie in fantasyland. which was lovely like really amazing! the food wa syummy..lots of juice, hot drinks, croissants, toast, ham, cheeses a yummy and very european breafast! also meant we were in the park early so could be the first on the rides..they started sem fo the rides at 9.30.

The studios was rubbish and not worth the 2 hours we spent there....the parade was boring, there was only 3 rides and oen show operating the day we were there. so make sure you dontbuy a one day one park ticket for this! we ate in the pinnochios restaurant (cant remeber the name) every day we were there becuase it was nice quick easy food and a lovely clean restaurant!
generally a lovely trip, lovely hotel and lovely special time!
thanks for reading :lookaroun

HOPE EVERYONE ELSE HAS FUN!!!

CaptainessKylie,

Sounds like you had a great trip - we've never stayed in Cheyenne but it looks a great place for kids, and the Cafe Mickey also sounded very good. Thanks for the report, I agree with you on the Studios - its somewhere you can do very quickly and then pass by, allowing more time in the main park which is superb.

I'm a bit surprised about some of the staff - they are not and will not be as 110% committed as the people in Orlando, but I've not really had any problems with Guest Relations or Annette's, they are for the most part just typically French. Allow for that and your fine.

Kev,

Mad going twice in quick succession? Nah! We went for Halloween too, and are off for 2 nights next week. Also went in May and July this year, plus a trip to Florida in January. Disney-a-holics rule OK! Are you a DLRP Annual Pass holder? Great for savings...

We'll be travelling light this trip - you'll have to be bloomin small to fit in a rucksack! Sorry!

This summer we flew a light aircraft there with 2 people in the back along to Paris for their first time, might do it again next year when the weather improves. Its great - 3hrs door to door Milton Keynes->Disneyland Park.
