Huzzah! Despite not having any news or info on this until it was released, yes Virginia, there is a new Pal Mickey in the 'World!

The HCOE edition was 2.0 He came dressed in a tux for the event. Well, he will not be sold after September 30th. Leaving everyone wondering what was to come. Turns out the newest version is Sorcerer Mickey dressed in his classic Fantasia costume! The costume is fully removable.

From PalMickey.net:
The brand new (September 2006) Pal Mickey Sorcerer Mickey (top left photo) is now available in the Disney-MGM Studios at The Darkroom, at Epcot in Mousegear and at Main St. Cinema in the Magic Kingdom. No verification yet on his availability at other WDW locations. His costume is removable. We'll keep you posted with any additional info!

And here's a photo taken by a PalMickey.net member and CM:

Don't have a lot of details since I'm relaying this third hand, but he does still sing songs, tell joks and play games. The glow medallion was removed from his hand and both once again work to prompt him to speak. I don't know about any added content at this time.

Edit to add: This version is the same price as the HCOE edition: $65.

There won't be anything different about this Pal Mickey other than probably the strap that he'll get, his pretty new clothes, and the fact that he's a limited edition. If you still have your old Pal Mickey, or Pal Mickey 2.0 (HCOE) they will say the same things as this new one does, but it IS limited edition, so if you collect Pal Mickeys, or you don't have one at all, then definetely grab this one. :)

Not exactly true. For example. The first version did not have sing-a-longs. And he will forever respond to triggers with his original phrases. (Like, at Stitch, he still talks about Alien Encounter.)

What difference in content between HCOE and Sorcerer though is yet to be seen. Most likely those two will be very similar in content, though I imagine this newest version will mention things like The Laugh Floor, Nemo and other such soon-to-be forthcoming attractions.

Still, he's darn cute. And like HCOE, he will be limited in release duration. Most likely through Year of a Million Dreams.

I don't have one yet, yes I know shame on me!! But him being in Sorcerer Mickey clothes (my fav. character, ala my name here) I may just need to suck it up and get one. Better start saving!

That really looks cool! But it doesn't look like it comes with the lanyard like the Happiest Celebration on Earth had. Does anyone know if they will come out with even more costumes to be sold for the Mickeys? :)

Aww he's so cute!! I hope I can get just that outfit for my HCOE Pal Mickey. I hope he doesn't say too many new things so I dont feel ripped off buying the one I have.

What I was upset about when I bought the HCOE version after still having the old one is the lack of new info. Yea, he sung and had some extra games and a few extra tidbits here and there, but as far as actually talking about the celebration and the new rides like soarin, LMAX, Stitch, he didnt say anything. That POd me, because I had spent all that money on something I basically already had, and they dont do trade ins, which made me even more mad. Will this one actually talk about EE and all the other new things, it should, but they should also attempt to update the HCOE version to say what this new one will "supposedly" say. One guy told me updated my first version but I dont think it did jack.

I am still shocked how many of these little guys I see around. It's a little steep for a talking stuffed animal, but people sure do get a kick out of them.

Was the HCOE addition louder than the 1st addition? That was my big gripe with the first one, you just couldn't hear him that well in the parks(at a quiet home, no problem).

I got the first two Pal Mickey's, but I won't get another one until they do a major upgrade on him. It just isn't worth spending another $65 to hear some updated attraction information.
