2007: ReHab-i-bration

Man! After seeing all the rehabs popping up over the next celebration (especially early in the year) I think they ought to rename it to....

ReHab-i-bration! The place where all your dreams usually come true when open.

I know all these rides will be even better when rehab'd but it just seems like a lot of things are being done at the same time! I know how much we missed IASW when it was down. I am glad we are going down this October!

It's always a bit of a disappointment when a favorite is rehabbing when you attend. That's one reason we like to go in December. Rehabs don't happen usually close to Christmas. On the plus side, maybe you'll see some brand new attractions! BTW small world looks great. You'll enjoy it.

We may take 2007 off from WDW ourselves, perhaps a So Cal trip and a couple days at Disneyland?? Would love to ride the subs!

The only problem I have with re-habs is that last Nov. Blizzard Beach, and the Wonders of Life pavilion were closed for re-hab. This year in Nov. guess what is closed for re-hab...... BLIZZARD BEACH AND WONDERS OF LIFE!!!

I think they should stagger the re-hab schedule so people who take vacation around the same time of year do not always miss the same attractions.

Next Visit: Nov 11th-Nov 20th Port Orleans Riverside (Dixie Landings to me!)

I would expect WoL to be "under rehab" for awhile since its been tossed back and forth from closed to seasonal. Could turn to a more permanant term.

It's interesting that people say things needed updated and then they complain when it's closed to be worked on. Unfortunately, things have to be closed at times so they can either do "clean up" or make changes / additions. I'm glad to see so many rehabs being talked about as that's a good sign they are keeping things as perfect as possible and investing in the parks.

WoL is closed... all the time. It's listed as "seasonal" on the WDW website and not as rehab, but in the notes, it's closed for the entire month you are looking at. Disney typically closes the water parks for anual rehabs during the winter months. They only close one at a time and keep the other open.

Bring on the ReHab-i-bration!

Every completed refurb gives me another excuse to pack the kids in the mini-van and head to WDW for the weekend.

Some careful vacation planning will be required. However, I am up for the challenge.

It will be great to see the results of all these rehabs. I'm very excited about that! :sohappy:

Gee, I guess it really is a shame they are spending millions to preserve, maintain, and plus existing classic attractions for generations to come...I mean, a few months closure certainly could never be worth it for something like that.

Could it?

Great way to look at it! I too agree as I stated in the original post that the rides will be better after these much needed rehabs, it just seems like there are sooo many coming up whether they are rumor or not.

Rehabs I have heard of other than the water parks were , RNRC, Splash Mtn, Adventure of Winnie the Pooh, Fantasmic, Tempanik (sp?), Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise, SSE, current shows/rides like Nemo and friends and the Nemo show replacing Tarzan, the Fantaia pool at ASM, as well as other rumors. In the past I only heard of about three or four closures/rehabs over the entire Resort. I guess the biggest question for me is why have a celebration when so much in undergoing rehab. Why not wait til next Spring to start the newest celebration when many of these rehabs would be complete. I am excited about the rehabs but just curious why the timing of a new celebration...hence the title ....Rehab-i-bration!:D

Rumor for January, I have not seen it listed anywhere or confirmed. There is a thread on this in the News/Rumor area.

Thanks, I read that one too, but no one can confirm it either. From the way they are talking in the other thread, it seems to be "set in stone", but the rumor has yet to be posted on wdw's official website. Hopefully, it is just a rumor. We are booked for Jan 18-26.
