Hollywood Hitmen - What happened?

I was going through some Minidisc recordings that I made a few years back and turning them into mp3's when I discovered a recording that I made of the HOLLYWOOD HITMEN! It was outstanding, and now ... once again ... I am hooked!

I'm trying to dig up some more information on this group and find out who was involved, and see if they ever did any Buena Vista recordings or just street music. Honestly though, sound that good should have been recorded professionally and sold ... because they would have made a bundle. The trumpet player is incredible!

Any existing or ex-cast members got info about the super sound of the Hollywood Hitmen?

The Hollywood Hitmen ... are you serious. Nobody knows who this group is/was ?

I'll explain, at one time there were a ton of "Street Acts" in the parks. But, for some reason, most are gone, or hardly ever play. The Hollywood Hitmen were at MGM and played right down on NewYork Street. There was percussion, brass, and even singers. They played music similar to what you would hear from the Blues Brothers, or even Latin/Carribean Music.

The Brass section was awesome, especially the trumpet player. Here is some additional information that I found on the net:

Hollywood Hitmen
Contemporary brass and percussion band performing on New York Street.
30-minute shows
10:15 & 11:45am, 1:25, 3:00 & 4:40pm
(Tuesday only 10:15 & 11:45am performed)
Last shows were April 7, 2001.

One of the band members was Jim Luce. Another was Marc Zauss. I'm really suprised at how little knowledge there is available on the internet regarding this group. Hence, my post.

If you were at MGM late 90's through 2001 you probably heard this group playing even if you didn't see them, because they were really LOUD!

Old thread bump... I was reminiscing about all the lost live music groups over the years and did a quick search on the Hollywood Hitmen and there sure isn't much online about them, which makes me sad. One of my best friends was one of their bass players and loved playing in that group. On my visits in the 90s, I'd make sure to get their schedule and catch at least 2 or 3 sets (even when he wasn't playing with them) because they were amazing.

Since you bumped this…YES! These were the awesome relatively small little extras that always set the mouse apart…I remember about 10 years ago, we were in DS, the DW & kids were shopping and I was parked outside on my ECV at the bandstand…there was a cover band playing that were incredible and professional…I thoroughly enjoyed my time there! Bring ALL those extras back!!
