I think it’s pretty neat to get to see some unthemed backstage from the Skyliner. It’s a cool peek behind the curtain for those interested in how these parks are designed. it’s why I love driving by the backstage area that is visible from the street behind GE, iasw, and Toon Town at Disneyland.

You don’t think they could have done a different Eiffel Tower?

The Eiffel Tower in the France pavilion pre-dates the Skyliner. Once the Skyliner was built to go through that area they would have had to remove it completely in order for it not to look ridiculous as you are flying by.

Something isn’t impossible just because you can’t imagine how it might be done.

Certain things are, imagination doesnt change the laws of physics.

Nope. You would still see the Eiffel Tower from a position without forced perspective.

The Eiffel Tower is there now with a new facade sitting right below it. It has nothing to do with the Ratatouille building abruptly switching to being a warehouse.

Agreed....and actually, in my opinion.....makes one appreciate just how well an area can be made to feel unique (for lack of a better word)

Earlier they had stripped the entry pillars, but have since demolished them. Hopefully that means something more grand as was seen in the earlier concept art. Note on the left of MuppetVision where bricks have been removed for faux windows.

Along the base of the main MuppetVision show-building you can see forms for a concrete pour that will likely support the new city facade to be placed over the plain structure.
