Allegedly it is not a remake of the latter, despite that making far too much sense! Kind of hard with the changes they made to the first remake, so they might spend the film walking a lot of those back...

Recently, Disney has started reintroducing Angel by creating a music video called "Glitter Glide" and creating brand new merchandise related to the song.

I wonder if its Disney's way to help newer audiences get familiar with Angel before her possible appearance in the sequel? The announcement video for the sequel even had the Number 2 highlighted in Angel's color palette.

Stitch has a Glitch is so underrated, wonder what they’ll do.

The movie was a pure, heartless HD, cash grab though.

This is what the OG looked like by comparison to the washed out, uninventive shots, costumes, and production design of the remake. Forget the lazy writing. Not even the team’s fault, it was definitely corporate Disney meddling.

You feel something when watching the original.

I can only hope the remake gets a new generation of kids to watch the OG. Even the sequels and particularly Lilo and Stitch: The Series are just so awesome.

Just hope with a plan for it not to be direct to Disney+, and under new leadership, they’ll actually try to make you “feel” something.

Chris Sanders (who rarely does sequels) stated that the remake's sequel will be an original story. But hinted that the sequel might include characters from future Lilo & Stitch animated material (similar to Kiara from 'The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride" appearing in Mufasa: The Lion King). After all we did get a glimpse of Jumba's other Experiments (Stitch's Cousins) near the third act.
