DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

I think a big part of the reason it looks odd right now is because the original paint is glossy and the new paint is matte because the new paint doesn't have a clearcoat like the old.

While it's certainly possible that they'll leave it like that to make it look like it's deliberately been painted over, my guess is that once all the painting is finished, they'll clearcoat the whole thing, so the new paint will look glossy like the old and there won't be so much contrast in the finish of the two paint jobs.
That is part of why it looks odd but a nice even clearcoat would be worse. It would look like a professional finish, not something homemade by people who aren’t experienced at auto body finishing.

Maybe the Muppet gang splurged on a professional paint job?

They clearly have the money for a professional recording studio on Sunset Boulevard after selling the Muppet Theater to realtors due to gentrification... ;)

That was when they were nobodies before Kermit gave them their big break. Electric Mayhem's big enough now to headline a roller coaster at world-famous theme park resort. They can afford to hire professionals now. 😏

I assume they’re going for something akin to the Studebaker the Electric Mayhem repaint in the Muppet Movie, but the two feel very little alike.

Probably because the only thing you know how to do is be dismissive to people you don't agree with? Nothing about that post seems AI-generated at all, and every detector I ran it through agrees, including the ones we use at work to detect student use.

Seems pretty consistent with that member's usual writing style.

To keep this relevant, because I'm capable of understanding that posts like yours that contribute absolutely nothing to the conversation are against the rules, and I actually respect Steve enough to not flagrantly violate his policies every chance I get, I will say that the post you're dismissing with no rebuttal is not incorrect in any way. The humor of The Muppets is derived from their contrast against the mundane. That's why Muppets Courtyard was a somewhat pedestrian space that had been enhanced with Muppet touches. The entire thing wasn't one big in-your-face zany reference to The Muppets.
Why are you so angry all the time? Every post I see of yours has such a confrontational energy to it and rarely does what you’re responding to warrant such aggressiveness.

I'm not at all? Like, I've maybe made three or four "confrontational" posts in the last month, and they were all directed to the same bunch of usual suspects because it gets tiring seeing threads devolve into pages-long off-topic complaints and dismissive straw men about other posters' opinions. A couple were made in the midst of several pages of literal bullying of a specific member who seems to be one of their favorite constant targets. I work with kids. Bullying makes me pretty mad. 🤷

My apologies to that poster as I’m wasn’t familiar with their posting style. However I will say this response wasn’t warranted as I had no intentions of dismissing anybody’s thoughts.

I can be very blunt at times.

I’m so confused as why he so was angry at me.
