MK Piston Peak and Villains Land Construction Thread

The FAA has a No Fly Zone centered around the Magic Kingdom. It’s not absolutely restricted but entry requires more planning and prior permission. The various helicopter tours offered in the area all skip the Magic Kingdom due to this restriction.
Oh wow. So basically they got permission to go over there all the other times, and the last two times they didn't

I am intrigued if the new ride patent is indicative of the size of the show building because, if so, that would hide a lot of the ride from Frontierland. Imagine if there were caverns you were riding into when you enter the warehouse towards the side that faces Country Bears and Pecos Bill and then from the outside all you would see is trees and beautiful waterfalls. Could be stunning if done correctly.

The patent has nothing to do with the actual layout even if the concept is related, but the land is arrayed as it is precisely because the goal is to conceal the ride elsewhere in Frontierland. That’s why the entrance is at the rear and the whole thing is ringed by rockwork, trees, and water features.

It's funny, isn't it, that based on what we're seeing, Disney seems to feel this attraction which some fans have been twisting themselves into knots to argue makes perfect sense in Fronteirland apparently needs to be completely hidden from Fronteirland?

Hopefully that really is how it's being built though - basically a mini cars land tucked behind Fronteirland with a backside facade facing Fronteirland that compliments it.

This is starting to feel a little like how Galaxy's Edge was added to DL. Makes no sense in terms of fitting into the park but at least they made it exist in its own space more or less separate from everything else.

No, most of the time he is in a small plane with a long lens when you see MK pictures. It provides a steadier platform than a helicopter but he has and I'm sure will do some more from a copter above 3000 ft

Im really curious how long the "inside" sections are, as we know of two actions besides the load/unload area, which are the mountain by the old Riverboat dock, and the hill near Tiana's. If they do sm creative to make the ride longer and more special id love it

I mean, it looks like an actual E. Likely not RSR scale, but my guess is people will generally like it more than either Tiana or BTM.

It seems the back section of the river has been filled and leveled
