Goodbye black paint. I always found that hideous. They’re starting painting on the front of the Launch Bay facade now.
Most things about Launch Bay were hideous.Goodbye black paint. I always found that hideous.
I am a massive Star Wars fan and I agree completely. Though in DL it's even worse since they now have an entire Star Wars area on the west side of the park, yet Star Tours is still operating in Tomorrowland on the east side of the park.Thank god they’re taking it away it was too much Star Wars in one park
Agreed. The more Disney legacy representation for this park the betterI would love some original vintage film posters of disney animation films on the soundstages inside the land instead of the new release promo theyve been doing.
You know, I got real excited when I saw the checkerboard floor because I thought we were finally getting some fun colorful 90s style design back from imagineers. Then I realized the only reason its there is because the original Disney Animation building has the exact same floor and they are basically just copying it lol.
Ideally… the ones created in that studio.I would love some original vintage film posters of disney animation films
Wasn’t it only a working studio for like 5 years and wasn’t it mostly used to speed up work developed in California?Ideally… the ones created in that studio.
If I remember right, that studio also did the “I Can’t Wait To Be King” sequence of Lion King, and then did major sequences for subsequent movies leading up to Mulan.Wasn’t it only a working studio for like 5 years and wasn’t it mostly used to speed up work developed in California?
Mulan, Lilo and Stitch, Brother Bear, and a few strait-to-video sequels, right?
Seems silly to treat it as anything more than a small piece of Disney’s animation legacy.
1989 - 2004 - so 15 years.Wasn’t it only a working studio for like 5 years and wasn’t it mostly used to speed up work developed in California?
Mulan, Lilo and Stitch, Brother Bear, and a few strait-to-video sequels, right?
I didn’t mean to be disparaging- Brother Bear is one of my favorites, and I think it’s under-rated.1989 - 2004 - so 15 years.
Mulan, Lilo, and Brother Bear were the three feature films done completely by Florida. That’s a pretty major bragging right to me.
and then portions of many other classics like Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Fantasia 2000, and yes the entire can’t wait to be king from lion king.
Weird you don’t think that history and heritage should be celebrated?
At both DCA and DHS the modern billboards for upcoming movies have always been a giant theme-killer in my opinion especially at DCA where it is one of your first impressions of the park both before and after the re-imagining since they are clearly visible from the esplanade.I would love some original vintage film posters of disney animation films on the soundstages inside the land instead of the new release promo theyve been doing.
The company seems to be pretty afraid of its legacy right now because it set a standard they are clearly no longer meeting or even trying to meet.Agreed. The more Disney legacy representation for this park the better
Especially since someone actually had to sit down and hand draw Mushu, Whereas Olaf was clearly created using the same device that I am currently typing this sentence on.Ideally… the ones created in that studio.
That’s another reason Mushu was a better fit to host rather than…. Olaf.
Now that I think about it… it’s pretty fitting that an AA of Olaf is replacing a live artist in that building.
1989 to 2003 is not exactly five years.Wasn’t it only a working studio for like 5 years and wasn’t it mostly used to speed up work developed in California?
Mulan, Lilo and Stitch, Brother Bear, and a few strait-to-video sequels, right?

Parts of most of the early 90s renaissance films were also produced there.Wasn’t it only a working studio for like 5 years and wasn’t it mostly used to speed up work developed in California?
Mulan, Lilo and Stitch, Brother Bear, and a few strait-to-video sequels, right?
Seems silly to treat it as anything more than a small piece of Disney’s animation legacy.
