EPCOT When do you think they will fix the doors to outside in Test Track again?

I know they fixed it when 3.0 first opened but then during cast member previews one of the cars ran into the breakaway doors, so now they are fixed to open. Will they change it back again at some point? It seems so much more immersive like that! I also used to love it because it really felt like 'OMG WE ARE GONNA RUN INTO THE WALL' (for the cast members in that one car though, that was reality lol)

Just as soon as the Yeti walks into the building through the open doors or maybe the first time the entire pavilion gets filled with birds.

After that incident showed them what that possibility looked like in action (I'm sure they always knew it was a possible failure ,but it's one thing to know and another to see it actually play out), I'm sure they'll never go back to having the doors closed.

Yes, it sucks, but they just can never guarantee that it won't happen again. Technology is amazing, but technology can fail. As much as we criticize them for being cheap--and they are--I think this is one specific case where they consider the safety aspect more than the money aspect.

It's better to have that one small section of the ride be a little less good than to risk a car full of guests getting injured if that same show issue repeats.

You say this as if it has never been an issue before. They were lightweight scenic elements designed with knowing they could be hit by a vehicle.

I’m well aware of that, and I said as much in the post you’re responding to.

All I said was since it actually happened, they’re not going to bring it back. Maybe once upon a time they would react differently, but not today. There is a difference between knowing it’s a possibility and responding to it actually taking place.

After they fix Gertie's tail at DHS, and the inground lights in EPCOT, and the animatronics and screens in Tiana at MK..
I am sure I am forgetting others...

I intentionally left off the DLR people mover and AK's Yeti as these will NEVER be fixed..
