I doubt trees alone would obscure it unless they built some tall terraced landscaping like that which surrounds Batuu elsewhere. That said, there are obviously ways to handle it; the issue is primarily that they haven’t indicated in any of the currently released artwork how they intend to do so, if they do. That’s why people are understandably concerned.

Generally speaking, there are two approaches to blocking a sightline issue. One is something large and closer to the thing you're trying to block -- like a facade wall, rockwork cliff, etc. The other is something much shorter and very close to the guest's viewing point -- an 8 foot wall is enough to block an unsightly view no matter how tall it is, if the 8 foot wall is right next to you. So managing the sightlines can be done by not allowing guests much distance from the (short) obstruction by using carefully placed short walls, foliage, etc. and avoiding big plazas that afford a distance, in the area.

Right, but the art indicates exactly that (a big plaza), hence the concern.

There is a reason the coaster is so far back. The question is whether or not that reason is something that would also apply to facades and heavy landscaping.

Look at the views of the tron warehouse from storybook circus - if Disney is ok with that - we shouldn’t expect much different here.

There are some trees that kinda help block the direct view - but it’s still a big box just sitting there.

Now of course Disney COULD come up with a solution, but time will tell.

They're undoing the studios aspect in this entire area by adding city facades. Why it is so unthinkable that this could be added to the backside as well? If it's far enough and partially obscured by trees, all they need do is paint details.

Everybody keeps going back and forth with the ideas that it is or isn’t still a studios theme. My neck is getting sore from all the back and forth - can somebody decide?

Everybody is free to go back and forth as they please, but the park is still officially named Hollywood Studios.

If they use the trompe l'oeil effect they used in Ratatouille, they can claim both. It doesn't exactly look real in real life, but you might get away with saying it would on film.

Because there’s a reason they moved the building back. These structures also didn’t show up in the plans that first showed the building location.

No joke. It just looks like a flat wall with things painted on it. I really hope they do better in Monstersland

The effort on that is a fail in my opinion. Frustrating. I think it will improve with time but they waited so long in the 4-5 year build to drop some trees in - grrrr

Disney themselves can't seem to make up their mind either apparently, judging by what they are doing with Animation Courtyard.
