Got a phone call from one of the high up bosses yesterday - Mike and I are getting transferred to a new site … sort of.

We are almost sold out, outperforming everyone’s wildest expectations, so they want to see if we can work our magic at one of the most stagnated sites. No pressure, right?

We’ll be working both sites simultaneously. A few days at each site alternately. My first day at the new office is Monday.

Hopefully we can deliver! Equal measures of hard work and good fortune are required.

I took today off, just because. I haven't taken a single day for myself this entire year, and I needed one. I ended up going up to my brother's house with my parents to see my niece. We stayed for about 4 hours. Had lunch, got some snuggles, chatted, then headed home. It was very lowkey, but it was much needed. I didn't think about school at all while I was there.

They just said the US had it's warmest January ever which is amazing to think about when the East Coast was so cold.

Yet another warm, sunny one yesterday…!!!

So, yesterday was the last day for official Girl Scout Cookie (cleanup week) sales.
There was a booth at H•E•B, so we picked up a cpoupla’ packages of Peanut Butter Patties. One for us, and one for Emmy and Audrey, as they happen to be vegan.
$6 now as opposed to $2.50 when Megan and Sarah (DDs) first started selling them.
I know I’ve posted this before, but Megan and Sarah sold GS Cookies for a combined decade, between the 2 of them. Paid for summer camp, and then some, every year. One year Megan sold over 1,500 boxes and Sarah sold over 1,200. Sooooo many cookie booths Carolyn and I worked with them, and in some crazy weather sometimes…!!!!!
Good times…!!!!!
I predict the below won’t last long…maybe not even through today…!!!!!

I also saw a table set up outside the grocery store on Sunday, and I bought a box of thin mints from the Girl Scouts. That's the flavor I've bought for many years. (Boxes were priced at $6.00.)

Last year we bought a case of mixed cookies, including Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties and Caramel deLites…!!!!!
Up until late last year we still had some of each left in the garage freezer.
Unfortunately, all we ended up buying this year was the 2 packages of Peanut Butter Patties yesterday.
Looks like we’ll hafta’ make up for it next year…!!!
