EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

FWIW, I’m starting to hear mumblings from people I trust that there is once again “a desire” from people higher up to improve EPCOT. I don’t think that means we’ll be getting our wish lists of projects, nor do I think it is related to the upcoming management shakeup, but it is something to note.

I firmly will not believe any new Figment rumors because I have been burned too many times, but it would make sense for them to be working on it now if what others have said lately holds true.

I personally feel they're just gonna do another EPCOT overhaul for EPCOT's 50th. And honestly the middle area isn't gonna be that hard to fix. Plus I do think the EPCOT overhaul we got wasn't bad rather it was just incomplete due to covid and chapek so I could see them doing something. After all MK is getting at least 4 new rides

Personally I would be happy if EPCOT got this by the 50th:
- Coco in Mexico & Mary Po in Uk
- New Country in WS
- New Figment
- Updated SSE
- New Middle
- Redo of Space and Wonder's area
- Update of the interiors of Land & Sea (just cosmetics)
- and I guess that rumored hotel if we want

EPCOTs 50 is less than 7 years away, these next 7 years WDW will be busy finishing all the stuff they are working on now, I suspect Villains land will not be completed by 2032.

I hope they are thinking about something for EPCOT's 50th.

They really blew it for MK's 50th. I know, I know because pandemic....

Over a decade in the making. I remember when this thread was quite new.

Indeed, most of the EPCOT re-do was signed off on by Iger before he left the first time.

Oh I don't disagree, it is sad it's the same things needed/wanted 10ish years later. I still think Moana, Ratatouille, GOTG, New Test Track, the new enterence, and creations & connections, and the SSE lights were really good additions but it simply isn't enough. Honestly we got half the problems solved while creating 3-4 new ones so here's hoping Josh says screw it and gives EPCOT 2 billion
