His stubbornness is astronomical and it nearly caused the downfall of Disney Animation forever.
I was gonna say "To be fair, didn't Iger basically cause the downfall of Disney Animation after 2016 too?", but then I realized that if I did, somebody would bring up Encanto.

I liked Strange World and Zootopia 2 as well, but the first one was a flop and the second was another sequel.
Failing to expand MK in a meaningful way.
And despite all of their replacing, there's still a lot of wasted space. The empty Stitch space, Princess Fairytale Hall and the Tomorrowland Speedway, to name a few.
I find it strange that so many who complain that the parks are poorly managed also continue to visit the parks regularly.
Maybe they still visit because there's still things about the parks they like? Y'know, attractions that Iger hasn't taken an axe to or wasn't involved in creating?

My biggest gripe is they constantly leave space and building unused or underused. What is the excuse for having Stitch completely unused? Ridiculous. I hate this management team.

Some of us have genuine love for the Parks because it was a big part of our childhoods. They also have not yet ruined it all because it will take decades to completely ruin it and we hold out hope they'll regain a vision that makes sense.

I have however backed down my visits and spend while I'm there. During the Covid year where there was nowhere else to go, I went like 50 days and actually enjoyed the lower crowds. Since then, I'm only going 12-14 days/year with much more irregular annual pass purchases. I travel around 65 days/year and Disney is only about 20% of that now.

If I want to feel more like Disney, I'd honestly rather go to Tokyo Disney. At least they have Splash.

Sounds like you found the perfect amount of Disney that works best for you!

You said they should have gotten someone you would consider a better guy and I said that didn’t happen. They went with an establishment guy because I think Disney is okay with the direction they’re heading in.
That's why they're incompetent. Who would be OK with the direction of charging infinity at the parks and owning a negative return stock.

Leaked photo of Josh sitting in Bobs desk. Wonder what he’s discovered?

I've said it before, but it's probably just because they don't have any popular science fiction IPs that aren't already being used in the parks.

Then again, when have an IP actually fitting in the land it's put in or it already being used in the parks ever stopped them before?

Do you folks actual read what you write before you hit post?

Weekly reminder that revenue on Parks and products is up by 156%; income up by 209%, over 10 years. Trying to pin the parks “concerns” around the company stock price is merely attempting to speak through both sides of one’s mouth.

The company has very real things to criticize, but people have trouble picking their lane.

For starters I would focus on mostly wringing their existing consumer base instead of having been a company focused on building more consumers. With the exception of Shanghai at start of that 10 year run and now DCL at end.

Imo Stitch, Incredibles, and Big Hero 6 would all fit in Tomorrowland. (And arguably Wreck It Ralph)
