Triet K. Nguyen on X has a prediction for the colour scheme if they opt to keep the brick the same colour and be going for that darker royal blue

Tbh I dont think its bad. But I think the gold is too dark of a gold for the brighter grey and whites. It needs to be a bright gold imo. And this darker roof is certainly new. So far not a lot is marrying up to the concept art so im thinking the plans changed from what was announced. Most certainly a budget cut to not repaint the brick. But why the dark royal blue instead of the almost teal blue from the concept art?

this is still a vast improvement over the color scheme that has been there for the past 5 years.

It must be very interesting to be one of the workers painting the castle and getting to be inside, along the upper walls, etc. Super cool behind-the-scenes experience!

It's cool, but not for the faint of heart. There's a variety of trip and fall hazards, pyro launchers (all disarmed while they're working, of course), wires, speakers, lasers, exhaust, you name it. They also usually require fall protection when working in areas like some of the painters are.

Looking at that space down there next to the castle, makes me wish they did something like at Disneyland Paris and put a landscaped hill there with topiary and waterfalls, and then had a Cinderella walk-through like the Sleeping Beauty Castle walk-through at Disneyland.

For those concerned about the brighter or darker looking colors, remember that the Florida sun will quickly fade them. Disney tries to keep that in mind when considering what the final look will become.

Two things that are never the answer: polyester and rose gold.
I think it was about 10 years ago where the shops in WDW were inundated with rose gold merch, especially the Minnie ears. And then a year later, it was all gone.

And, I find it quite hilarious that, for WDW's 50th, it's like they thought "Hey-let's repaint the castle for the 50th in a colour that it's never been in it's 50 years of existence! And then we'll leave it on there for over 5 years!""
