MK Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

But seriously, they've got some decent potential land names from existing IP:
  • "Isle of the Lost" is where villains live in The Descendants.
  • "The Shadow Realm" is a literal name in some IP (DuckTales, Aladdin) and general concept
  • "Forgotten Lands" is a land in the Dreamlight Valley video game
    • "Forbidden Land" as a variation might work
I could see any of those as a land-with-in-land concept, sort of like Storybook Circus, if they wanted to say it's all "Fantasyland" too. I think it's better marketing for them to say it's a whole new land though. The geography would be daunting as well.

I don't think they're going to use a name that invokes hell ("Hades", "The Underworld"), death ("The Graveyard"), or specific religious references ("The Devil's Triangle" from POTC). Doesn't fit with the MK.
Any Barbosa or Davey Jones references in land one might believe?

Not trying to sound poo-poo ish, but, does it really matter? Galaxy's Edge is 99% referred to as 'Star Wars land'. Avenger's Campus is referred as Marvel Land, Pandora, the world of avatar is called Avatar land. No one gives a crap what the lands are called.

when people visiting the parks are having a conversation about going to epcot for the day, they're just saying, 'what rides should be hit in Epcot?', then look at the map and find the attraction, and say, 'oh, it's in xyz land'. That's about how much thought visitors put into the titles.
Judging by the chatter this is driving, I’d say plenty of people do care what it’s called. You do not.

First guess - something really obvious like “Villains Land”. Although I could see a second line to that, like “Villains: Dark Wilderness”.

Second guess - a completely made up name the way Batuu is a completely made up name.

My favorite prediction, however, is from Tom Bricker:

“The most likely outcome here is the official name of the land (Villains Land is the right choice for a Magic Kingdom land, so obviously it will not be that; it’ll be at 4-16 words long and contain 2-7 punctuation marks). …

My gut is that Imagineering will hold back the full reveal of “Disney Villains ~ Isle of Iconic Evil Forces & Land of Mysterious Magic: WATCH OUT!” until the 2026 D23 Expo.”

This still remains my favorite choice! lol

"When villains want to get away from it all, they go to Maleficent's Scandals Resort, a lavish resort where they can be themselves without heroes around to bother them. On one special weekend, Maleficent invites villains like Ursula, the Queen of Hearts and others to celebrate her 118th birthday. However, an unforeseen complication unfolds when ordinary humans unwittingly crashes the party!"

Villains kingdom or villains land or even the long rumored that was going to be the potential villains theme park name tragic kingdom but with every magic kingdom, land having the name land in them, villains land is the best in my opinion.

Liberty Square doesn’t have land in the name.

Maybe it’ll be Villains Square?

It feels likely they have a theme, inspired by a previous work that will give the name of the land is what I’m going with.

I can’t seem them getting as dark as the Fantasia Chermobog for the whole land, but having a Bald Mountain as the weeny with Chermabog animatronic on top would definitely make a flaming windmill seem 2nd fiddle.

In the Parks
No
Also since they are having characters walk around the parks does anybody think there’s possibility that some of the villains will actually walk around?

If they do, I hope they are 100% face characters (I know Hook and Frolo have frequently been performed by masked characters in the parks) and I hope we see some new faces (face character Kronk and Yzma could be an AMAZING meet and greet). Would also be nice to see some of the face character villians that they have tried at DCA used here.

Agreed that goes for captain hook
Jafar especially given the way we’ve seen Hades at special events. I have a feeling he will really be a face character.
