Mickey Mouse Now Roaming Magic Kingdom in Surprise Character Encounters

I've noticed quite a few roaming characters recently when I went last week. Rapunzel and Flynn were out by the Tangled Bathrooms roaming before stopping in front of one area and doing an entertaining mini "show." I don't believe it was shown on the app or anything, me and my fiance just kinda saw a few people looking at something and boom it was Flynn and Rapunzel just out there walking around and doing some crowd work.

We noticed a bunch of characters out and about this past weekend- had thought it was just luck catching them walking to and from their M&Gs, except Stitch, Alice, and Goofy were around for awhile in their respective areas.

We’ve never been to the parks when it’s been this busy. It was definitely a nice touch.

They did this last summer when we were there. Mickey was riding the carousel during Rope Drop and Mickey and Minnie were hanging out in front of the Tree of Life at AK in the morning as well.

I remember seeing a video showing Alice, The Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and the Queen of Hearts riding the tea cups in Fantasyland. In the video you can faintly hear the Hatter singing "The Unbirthday Song" in the distance. It gave me the biggest smile of my face. To a similar degree, when MSEP was running at Disneyland in the late 2010s, the White Rabbit had a brief interaction with guests who were riding the tea cups.

Glad Tokyo Disney Resort/OLC is keeping that leave of dedication alive.
2005 Disneyland. Just hanging out by the Sword in the Stone:

Disneyland 2006. If you look closely, 5 characters choosing their teacups. Queen was there but sat this one out. I see Alice out with Mad Hatter fairly often but not the groups like this in a long time. It was so cool I still remember and bring it up 20 years later.

What a pleasant surprise! Mickey hadn't wandered around MK (let alone meeting guests at Fantasyland) since the 70s and 80s. I still love this old homevideo recording where Mickey played with guests near the park's entrance.

I've met Mickey in Fantasyland well after that (plus he and Minnie went on Dumbo)

I got to go on the Teacups with Alice and Mad Hatter. It was a lot of fun

Does this mean Minnie, Goofy, Donald & Daisy are not meeting anymore outside in Storybook Circus while the tent is being worked on?
