DHS Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

The one problem with the behind-the-scenes theme is that movie making, nowadays, is very boring. It's all done with CGI and green screens because studios are too cheap and/or lazy to do practical effects and sets.

While I agree that films are way too reliant on CGI now and a lot of the fun and wonder has gone out, I would love for Disney to do something that helps people get more educated about the work that goes into CGI; it's actually a long pipeline with a lot of specialty work, full of interesting stories. Funnily enough, often they'll pour effort into stuff people don't notice, so it's its own worst enemy in a lot of ways.

At least, it was like that ten years ago; not sure how much easier it's gotten. But when Disney was making good CGI movies it was very much a difficult process with a lot to talk about and a lot of growing happening.

The recently two-part making of Avatar/Way of Water on Disney+ was amazing. The complicated tank system they built along with a radical water-jet to simulate riding on the water creatures showed plenty of old-school craft melded with cutting edge CGI. Also, all of the Star Wars projects have had a ton of practical aspects.

Those pizza spring rolls were pretty good at MK.

The rest of the menu… cut out that middle part and it would be just fine. There’s zero reason to offer more overpriced alcohol. Except profits.
Yes indeed the $16.50 coke with about an ounce of low end alcohol is not good. However, people will pay it.

Kind of bothered by the fact that they didn't put taller bamboo back in to the right of the Lass-O's box. I assume that will grow in quickly to cover the green building?

I was expecting that go away green wall would get themed

Hopefully something still to come, because it looks pretty bad as the first thing you see entering the land from that side
The bamboo in the planter just used to be about as tall as the building itself. You could still see it poking through in places, but it was way less obvious.

Seems odd they're using the same pepperoni spring rolls as MK. They should offer two sets here: one with meat and one without seeing as how some kids are a bit picky and cheese pizza is usually the crowd pleaser. I'd assume this ups the likelihood of Monster's QS not being Pizza?

It's more efficient (cheaper) to stock uniform items across the parks.

What came out of Pizza Rizzo was not legally allowed to be considered "Pizza"... or safe for human consumption.
