Guests traverse the Red Bridge to Fort Bridger for treats and apparel. In the hall, Oregon Trail Expedition, a simulator gives guests the experience of being on the Trail with blizzards and dysentery. In Rafting the Blue River, 16 guests board a chuck-wagon raft ride that ends with a rapids!

ROUND 2 | Spring Music Genre: Muppet Vision 3d and the Rivers of America

Before their tearful leaving earlier this year, fans all over the world flocked to WDW to pay their respects to these two hidden gemstone attractions. Many fans were confused, angry, and upset with the proposed replacements for these lands, and demanded different stories and ideas. They didn't want Cars; they didn't want Monsters Inc! How would you wrap these bygone songs to make better and newer ones?

Monsters, Inc. Land Announced for Hollywood Studios - Disney Parks Blog

Your pick:

Pitch a new land to replace either the Rivers of America OR Grand Avenue.

Your word limit:

Camp Halfblood

Replacing Rivers of America, this Percy Jackson mini-land will be hidden by a berm mimicking a Northeastern US forest providing a smooth transition to surrounding lands, and inside there are play areas for young "demi-gods" to explore, a comedic stunt show, and a simulator ride joining Percy on a quest.

Encircling the Rivers, enter the frigid North Pole with candycane lamps and Christmas-trees of Rankin-Bass; fly Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer around the world (Peter Pan-esque), zip through a zany, Rube-Goldberg Toy Factory, dare Snowmiser/Heatmiser in dueling coasters, and meet Santa in an animatronic show.

Apologies for the wait. This is my first time hosting, so I was trying to figure out what to say, so if these reviews are kinda lousy, that’s the reason why.

DownTOONTown- @Mr. Sullivan

I really like how this parallels to Disneyland’s OG Toontown, & I could see it happening IRL! The House Of Mouse is a great replacement for MuppetVision (I’m just assuming that), & Goofy’s Trolley & the Toontown Subway would be great additions to the park in both capacity & things for kids to do! This just fits Hollywood Studios perfectly like a glove, & I can definitely see it becoming a huge hit! Great job!

Muppets Land - @Brer Panther

Technically, this still wouldn’t count, as although Grand Avenue wasn’t entirely themed to the Muppets, I would say it was still heavily focused on them. Heck! It was always planned to be themed to the Muppets, which would have happened if Jim Henson sadly didn’t die before he could sign any contracts with Disney. However, since I’m nice & generous, I’ll let it slide.

Overall, the Muppets have honestly deserved better at Disney, & this just feels like a love letter to them! The interactive dark ride replacing PizzeRizzo sounds very intriguing, the Swedish Chef restaurant would a very popular place to eat (Bork Bork!), & the carousel is a great addition to the park, which (again) desperately needs more for kids to do! I would love to see the total zany-ness of this area if where to ever happen IRL, & yet I can totally see Disney doing something or exactly like this, but probably after I.G.E.R. is out of office.

Dino Island - @Disney Warrior

This is a great way of keeping dinosaurs “present” at WDW, now that Dinoland USA is fully heading towards extinction in February! The Boneyard (presumably being reincarnated) fits here like a glove, PteroFlight gives me major Flying Dinosaur vibes from Universal Japan & Muppets Dino Rally sounds so goofy, that I would love to experience it. My only concern is how this affects Liberty Square/Frontierland, but it’s still a great idea nonetheless!

Kingdom Hearts Traverse Town - @Disgruntled Walt

I’ve never played a single Kingdom Hearts game, so I don’t have much knowledge of the series, & I don’t feel like looking up the lore because I’m lazy lol. Sorry, but from your description & image, I’m sure this would be a dream come true for the fans & would be a pretty cool area to check out! I also could imagine the Keyblades being Disney’s version of the Harry Potter wands.

Oregon Trail - @ThemeParkPriest

I’m a little conflicted by this. Turning the Oregon Trail into it’s own land is a bold move, but in my opinion, I just wish there was more. My main issue is the Oregon Trail Expedition attraction being a simulator. That was really disappointing for me, & I don’t think a simulator would fit the Frontierland/Liberty Square area, & as I said before, I could easily see it being a dark ride, which would immediately make it feel more immersive. Rafting The Blue River sounds intriguing, & I definitely can see the Fort Bridger treat gift shop happening IRL. I do appreciate the risks you took here, so I’ll give you that & your very interesting idea.

Gravity Falls - @Evilgidgit

Like Kingdom Hearts, I don’t know much about Gravity Falls, as I’ve only seen a few episodes. Although I’m not the most familiar with the series, I’m definitely aware of how strong the show is & it would be a great addition to the parks (If it were to ever happen with any Disney TV show). While I don’t have much to say, the whole area just feels so immersive & the rides are just incredibly well done. Maybe I’ll watch the entire show one day.

Camp Halfblood - @Pi on my Cake

Finally, a land based around a popular Disney IP with no park representation that I know about (Although I’m not a fan)! I like the details of how you transition to the other lands, so that’s a win. Going in, I knew that playgrounds would be an obvious inclusion here, & the stunt show is a nice bonus, but again, the main attraction being a simulator was another letdown. Just going down the simulator route is fine, but Percy Jackson has so much potential for a major physical ride. It doesn’t distract from this being another great idea, however, so great job!

Holidayland - @Outbound

Just in time for the Christmas in a few days! Although I’m not sure if Christmas can work as a year long land, & Rudolph (& some Rankin-Bass IPs) are owned by Universal, it’s still a very cute idea. The Rudolph & toy factory rides alongside the Santa animatronic show sound incredibly charming, but the Heatmiser & Snowmiser dueling coaster is just all out incredibly ridiculous, that it would be a blast to ride. Overall, just an all out idea that’s creative & charming! Merry (Early) Christmas!

ROUND 3 | Summer Music Genre: Disney’s Starlight Parade

Now, let’s move onto Magic Kingdom’s Starlight Parade, a nighttime parade that debuted in July, & was quickly forgotten about.
IMG_0985.jpeg

The parade received a bunch of mixed reviews, from some
praising the quality of the floats while others complained about the lack of dancers on the ground. Let’s wish upon a star to get the best of both worlds!

The Prompt:

“Design either a brand new parade float OR a new costume design for a performer”

The word limit:

“40”

(aka the amount of floats in the parade x 3)

“You can also have one additional image per submission”

The deadline:

December 26, 2025, 11:59 pm PST

(That is 3 days from now)

Secretlab.webp

Yzma's Potion Lab float will add some much needed villainous flair as the neon glowing test tubes, viles, potions, and equipment roll down the street and Kronk/Yzma scheme!

Halfway point in the game! While this might be a little smaller than the usual OSC, be prepared for something pretty special on Round 5 ;) hope to see everyone participate there!

Zootopia Float by @Disney Warrior

I watched Zootopia 2 earlier this month, and it was an absolute blast! With the city’s gorgeous and vibrant nightlife it would be so fun to see it come alive in the dark. I do wonder how multiple different biomes can really be represented properly in the float with its size- it would make more sense to keep it as is with the epic Zootopia capital city float but at night.

Aladdin Float by @Brer Panther

You would think that with such a spectacular image of the Genie float (from the M.S. Electrical Parade?) at nighttime, it would signify its continued presence in the Starlight Parade, but surprisingly not! The scale and wonder of a giant Genie has already been proven successful, so this really knocks it out of the ballpark by just being there. The flying Jasmine/Aladdin combo on top would seem a bit impractical though, but just a thought!

The Hunchback of Notre Dame by @Disgruntled Walt

In my opinion, this pitch has so far been the most unique and I give my fullest amount of brownie points! Even with the limited words this pitch has shown the most depth and detail with its execution- the idea of the hundreds of small candlelights that bring warmer colors to the parade along with the darker warmth of the fireplace makes this parade special in both execution and uniqueness. I’m always a big fan of seeing the gargoyles being represented in 2025!

The Little Mermaid Float by @ThemeParkPriest

Following the usual mantra of “a picture speaks a thousand words,” while you didn’t intend it, getting to eye level with King Triton’s well-sculpted abs and the magical kinetics of an Ariel grotto float is a sight too bright to ignore ;). I loved how you also put thought into how this float fits into the message of the Starlight Parade (which I think is the only one that I’ve seen in this prompt?), and tying it to Ariel’s dreams skywards is such a nice touch.

Yzma’s Potion Lab by @Pi on my Cake

Holy heck this is a spectacular pitch (no bias of course)! With the Hunchback of Notre Dame seen earlier and the Emperor’s New Groove following suit, it would be amazing to see these two come together to effectively “revive” Disney’s underrated classics and bring them into a new light. While the tones of Yzma’s villainous lab would clash a bit with the otherwise dreamy nature of the Starlight Parade, the various potions and vials would add that fun flair the parade right now is missing.

Hercules: A Star is Born by @Evilgidgit

I’m actually glad my reviews were a little later than usual (but still posted the day of lol), since I would have missed this pitch and it would make me very disappointed! The sheer beauty of the parade float that emanates its message back to Starlight with the Mount Olympus diorama and the Pegasus made of stars sounds like such a stunning sight if it were real- it could quite literally elevate the entire Parade into the stardom of Disney Imagineering fame!

ROUND 4 | Least Listened to Song of the Year: Zootopia Better Zoogether

For every great attraction, there’s a blunder- and that’s Disney’s Zootopia: Better Zoogether, a fast-paced replacement to It’s Tough to Be a Bug that attracted a load of mixed reviews. With its uncatchy song, plot-holed story, and gaudy design, fans were quick to mock this undeserving replacement of the original show. How can you appease fans this time around?

Jungle Book Boogie
[I've already qualified, so not abiding by the limit] Despite not being in Asia, Jungle Book Boogie is a worthy replacement of ITTBAB, featuring a tour through the music from the film in a multi-sensory experience. Each song has a 4-D element included, with the highlights being an animatronic Kaa descending from the ceiling during "Trust in Me," four animatronic Vultures singing "That's What Friends are For," and the showstopping "Bare Necessities" finale featuring a highly-advanced animatronic Baloo (we know they're really good at making arm-waving animatronics now, but that's what this one is supposed to do!).
