Welcome back to the One Sentence Competition! This competition is an opportunity to warm up those old armchair imagineering cogs before entering the big game with Celestial Dreamin' by @Pi on my Cake! this newest iteration of the classic short-form low-stakes competition, @Half/CartoonHalf/Human and I will take you on a journey through YOUR Imagineering Wrapped, journeying through the biggest theme park design advancements and openings of 2025.

1765614553984.png

The entire competition will take place on 12/15-1/1, making it about a 15 day competition with no leeway for extensions. As all rounds and prompts have been prepped and are ready to go on each scheduled round posting day, you can expect to see the competition move forward regardless of reviews.

Each round will have a progressively shorter deadline, going from a 5 day period to 4, to 3, and so forth. The final round will take place over just one day!

1765614841545.png

Review will be split between HCHH and I, and you can expect them to come after the prompt for the next round has already been posted. In this version of the OSC, the review will not effect any rankings- there will be no point system and no bonuses in the preliminaries.

Regardless of Reviews, the host AGP promises that the competition will move forward without delay.

So how can you win the OSC this time around?

Each round will have one winner that is selected by HCHH and I. After 5 rounds, the 5 selected winners will compete in a final round with a one day time limit. Rankings will then be decided for that round only. To get to the finals- try your best to get a ticket straight to the endgame!

1765614878780.png

Every round will have a set word limit of 1 to 50 words (depending on the round)! Any word count not including the title that exceeds the given limit will not be qualified for a ticket to the final "endgame" match. Reviews will still be provided regardless if you decide to go above or below the limit!

Without further ado, we can’t wait to release the first round of the One Sentence Competition: 2025 Imagineering Wrapped on December 13, 2025!

So there’s been a slight change in schedule! We’re actually gonna start…. RIGHT NOW!

1765669464659.png

“The biggest and boldest new album drop for theme park fans this year was Universal’s Epic Universe at the Universal Orlando Resort, the newest major theme park in the US in over 25 years! It opened on May 22nd with 5 portals/lands & 13 attractions, 11 being rides, & 2 being shows.”

IMG_0967.webp

“The park already has a solid ride lineup, but it seems to be more dedicated to thrill seekers rather than children. Sure, the park already has 2 of its 5 lands primarily focused on them (Those being Super Nintendo World & HTTYD - Isle Of Berk), but the other 3 lands are just lacking in rides accessible to their age.”

The prompt:

“Add an additional opening day flat ride to either Celestial Park, Dark Universe, or the Ministry Of Magic.”

The word limit:

“26”

(aka the number of all the opening day attractions x 2)

“You can also have one additional image per submission.”

The deadline:

“December 17th, 2025 at 11:59 pm PST”

(That is 5 days from now)

DK Barrel Bongo Bounce!

Spinning barrels go around on a track with a bongo in each barrel, and if you drum in time with music your car bounces!

I just re-read the prompt and realized it had to be in a specific land lol. Hang on new project coming!

Before I dive into reviews, I just want to take a moment and talk about how excited I am to be back in as a host for or holiday OSC! My first OSC was a turbulent experience that did not end as well as I hoped it to, but it literally also had rounds with almost 20 competitors, making it one of the biggest one sentence competitions in OSC history. With the huge workload that came with that amount of people, I’m so glad that this time around I have the support of @Half/CartoonHalf/Human and the reduced number of rounds to truly return to the passion of hosting without overexerting myself. I’m committing to have zero delays this time around, and I hope to see even more visitors stop by and compete!

Spinning Boat Ride by @Brer Panther

As the first submission for this One Sentence Competition, I’m in love with the simplistic charm that comes from this pitch! I love the ride system that is being used and it has such a mini but massive effect if it comes to the Dark Universe. I do wonder if the direct combo of a horror movie character + water gun effects + kid oriented ride system would work out well? Kids would be afraid of the CftBL and superfans would be very disappointed by the ride’s scope lol

Cosmic Fliers by @Disney Warrior

This is such a unique ride system that I literally have never heard of before! I was super intrigued and went off a tangent doing some research on this attraction. I will say the loading process probably won’t be the most efficient for capacity but nonetheless the added “story” to Celestial park along with this innovative ride system is such a one-two punch submission. Should’ve done Captain Cacao as the character tho :o this bear is literally also an explorer of the cosmos lol

Captain Cacao’s Moonship by @Evilgidgit

Of all the concepts, this one really pulls my attention the most and I can really see it happening at Epic Universe! It’s amazing how a few words is still enough to make a good idea- while you didn’t really specify what ride system this would look like, I’m imagining this to be similar to the Inside Out Whirlwind balloon ride at DCA, albeit the description of it being tracked? Still, the image you provided is enough to show how such a simple spinner paired with the Captain Cacao balloon theming would be… epic!

The Lyrical Lily by @Outbound

This is a chef’s kiss of an attraction! The blend of Monet’s impressionistic art style and calming music blended to become a spinning teacup ride is just magical. I don’t know if it was intentional, but your concept elevates Celestial Park by adding the “earth” complement to the Constellation Carousel’s “sky” theming, and I’m all for it (Stardust Racers being the balance)! My one issue with this is that I’m not sure how a teacups ride of screaming children is the best system for such an attraction. The concept though? Perfection!

Fate of the Vesta - @Mr. Sullivan

You can’t have an iconic non-Disney amusement park without a proper swinging ship flat ride :p I’m in love with the lore building that you added into this attraction and the Dracula ip integration! A swinging ship mixed in with the burning blades of the windmill will add so much to the “spooky” kinetic energy of the land. While this isn’t a complaint against the pitch, I do wonder how the four giant poles could even be themed to fit into the land- guess we’ll never know!

Orbital Galactic by @tcool123

The visual you provided is simply stunning and proves how even if this is an OSC, a picture can still be worth a thousand words! The “epic” level theming with the galactic-inspired details is such a nice touch and a ferris wheel looking over the entire area sounds amazing. I do question whether a high-level attraction is the best choice considering the existing terrible sightlines for Berk- but the final product sounds too gorgeous to ignore!

Darkwell Dip by @Disgruntled Walt

This is such a unique and interesting concept! While the characters are supposed to be spooky I would honestly still be terrified because the claustrophobic idea of slowly being lowered into the dark with random animatronics sprinkled about doesn’t seem very family friendly :b I’m also not sure how Universal could just dig a giant pit into the ground without large complications. Still an extremely unique idea!

The Phantom’s Opus by @ThemeParkPriest

Awesome drawing! I’m having a hard time visualizing exactly what type of ride system it would be but I still love how you laid out the general gist of what the attraction could look like. Just like Evilgidgit’s submission, a picture is also worth a thousand words especially in a OSC comp and from the top of my head I’m imagining this as a HAUS Top Spin flat ride, featuring a super long sofa that can spin and dance to fire effects and a super cool Phantom of the Opera playing the organ below!

DK Barrel Dracula Bongo Bounce by @Pi on my Cake

Sometimes mistakes happen and they end up forming into masterpieces- this is a prime example of one! This is ironically a genius way to integrate light interactivity into the round that is both fun and unique for an Epic Universe ride system. With the theming of Das Steakhouse it’ll honestly fit in really well with the dark bar vibe they got over others. I’m a bit disappointed though that you didn’t make this Daniel Radcliffe Bongo Bounce :C

Your pick:

Pitch a new land to replace either the Rivers of America OR Grand Avenue.

Your word limit:
