DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

If people get excited about progress, whether it’s a pile of new dirt, to a new steel beam, which to some represents the start of vertical construction- just don’t be a Debbie downer.
Again I ask, it is being a Debbie Downer to point out that the project was not sped up when someone inevitably makes that suggestion because they’re excited about the speed of steel erection?

Nobody said anything about being sped up, did they?

It just seemed like the vertical construction created a little bit of buzz. It felt like the next phase of construction to many. Heck, the imagineers posted a milestone video.

I like seeing vertical construction as well. When things get vertical that means the project is about halfway done! All the site prep, land moving, electrical, plumbing infrastructure and foundation work is all done!
This is a perfect encapsulation of the issue. That is not at all an accurate description of what vertical construction, which actually started a while ago, actually means or signifies. There’s all kinds of site and utility work that still needs to be done. They are not at a halfway point. You’re ascribing significance that does not exist and telling people there is a significance that does not exist.

As knowledgeable as you are, you also come off very condescending at times, this is one of those examples.

The Imagineers posted a video, just today of going to vertical of their first steel beam. For me that's sufficient enough and I don't need you to tell me when vertical construction started on your watch.

For somebody who calls themselves lazyboy you sure do spend a lot of effort correcting people needlessly.

It has been a very long time, like decades, since Disney really cut a project budget after it had begun.
"had begun" or was announced and marketed.... because the EPCOT project was mightily cut...I mean HUGELY cut...a disaster of epic proportions.... Yeah yeah Covid..... but still....

That vertical construction means site and utility work is complete and a project is about halfway done.
There was one person that mentioned 'halfway', but I took it that the poster was more excited about the progress.

My beef with you (and some of the others) that you are telling us we can't be excited about the progress because it's not really vertical construction or actual progress, which has already started.

@lazyboy97o - please correct all of these people on social media and tell them it's insignifcant or that vertical construction started earlier.

@wdwmagic: "The update marks a major step forward for the project as the attraction begins to move beyond foundation work."
