MK Piston Peak and Villains Land Construction Thread

It actually further demonstrates your point that saying "half" when you don't actually mean "half" is kind of confusing, so I wouldn't worry.
Nobody is looking at the art and counting the number of trees and guessing the exact number that may or may not be fake.

The only thing we can look at for certain right now is a large amount of 50 year old trees that have been cut down and cleared.

Is there a chance the HM is included in Villains Land? By that, I mean that they move the queue to the backside and the entrance in VL?

It’s possible - they could always rebuild the facade of the mansion itself too - so the “mansion” would be visible from Villians land.

It’s the kind of thing modern Disney would do - they want to fix all the mistakes that the early imagineers made.

I don't know what you mean by "doesn't necessarily happen." I didn't say this approach guarantees anything. Of course even a buffered project can sometimes come in late. That's obvious. Again, when you make these comments, it's up to you to argue your point (apparently) that a tight timeline lacking buffers is somehow better for coordinating the synchronized completion of everything (labor, merch, food, marketing...). Go ahead and explain your position.
That depends on how you define "tight timeline". Every plan in order to be anywhere near completed on time. So many things affect it. Weather, labor shortages, supply delays and those evil change orders. In the last few years as attractions became more and more technologically complex have required many delays. If an attraction is untested tech heavy. The more complex the more likely changes will be required.

OK, I see them now. Could be an area that is not changing or maybe they just haven't gotten to them yet. That seems to be in what will eventually be the Villains land.
I'm optimistic...they've "survived" the last 2 photo updates. I'm thinking "worst-case" scenario they'll be relocated.

Makes no sense to bulldoze everything ...wait a few weeks ...and then "finish off" one or two trees when it would have been so much easier to "get it over with" while chopping down all the other trees.

I know "I grasping at straws" (or in this case 55+ year old trees lol)

That feels like it would be an invitation to add Disney villains to the Haunted Mansion in some way.

Replace Leota with Dr. Facilier, portrait gallery starts with all Disney heroes then shows the respective villains setting traps beneath each in the reveal, Ghost Host narration replaced by either Maleficent or Lady Tremain (impersonated) voice, Banquet Hall and Graveyard just a smörgåsbord of Disney villains... I absolutely hate it, but I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility for Disney (though a general "villains are gathering" ride seemed to be the consensus on what the new dark ride for Villains Land would be, so to make Haunted Mansion that as well would seem odd).
