According to posted park hours, Magic Kingdom is set to close at 4:30pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. This closure is likely due to the Cast Member Service Celebration event.

This is the second day of our Disney trip. We were considering going to MK as our first park day on the Monday and EPCOT the second day but I’ve read that crowds are very low on event days such as these. Would it be a good idea for us to go to MK on Tuesday instead and park hop once it closes?

Also, will we be able to make a MK restaurant reservation for 4:30pm or does everything close?

I think that’s a good idea. You see the same pattern during party season. I love MK on party days as the crowds are definitely lower earlier in the day and then I either park hop or head out after.

If it were just for Cast Members wouldn't the have to close all the parks. DAK would probably be closed anyway cause it's time for the animals to go sleepy bye.

What? What? I assume that there are cast members in every park. Do they just do the MK cast members or do all the parks join in. If the number of cast members WDW wide are only a few that wouldn't affect the operation of the parks, then they could keep them open, but I'd hate to think that they wouldn't include the ones from the rest of the park. It is obvious that they would use MK for a party but that would push everyone to the other three and they would have to be manned heavier then normal for the increased attendance, wouldn't they?

Oops. I see that I missed the 10 years or more part and someone was civil enough to tell me that instead of implying that I was some sort of idiot.
