They already get enough perks through the nonsensical 'AP for locals' to warrant any little 'thankyous'. If anything higher spending international tourists who have to put up with the crowding because of the 'free loading AP holders' packing into the parks, should be given calenders as an apology.

The cost of this utter nonsensical gift could be put forward to lowering car parking charges (even if it's only a dollar) or something similar, rather than this utterly pointless waste of money in my opinion.

I personally don't like these calendars, the artistic quality, in my UNprofessional opinion, is straight up cheap and ugly but if some people like them that doesn't do any harm to me (or you) so why take such an aggressively hostile attitude.
