She's been back for a week but only by day which is weird as I'm used to her as a nighttime character which seems to suit her better.
I think the idea of the post is that she is back temporarily for a two week period, whether that started this week or last week I don't know. But I saw it and since no one else posted it here I figured I would just so its documented in case someone wants to know.

I'd heard potentially longer but it would make sense if she's just bridging the season until the Christmas character arrives since she was around from Oogie Boogie Bash already.

Lots of stuff happens on Campus that I don't bother to post about including new show moments, character appearances, etc., because the general reception here about Campus is not welcoming. But yeah, was just confirming she'd been around during daytime.

Don’t be afraid to post things just because others aren’t “welcoming” of AC. There are plenty of others who don’t post but do read the forums who might find it useful.

I would also be interested in hearing what’s new! Speaking of which…is there a schedule released for the Deadpool holiday show? We will be around this weekend and would love to catch it.

I don’t see anything on the app yet - supposed to start on the 14th. Not sure when these schedules usually get posted but surprised it’s not listed yet since it begins this week.

I would go with the assumption its the same times as last year, 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:40 PM, and 4:30 PM. But of course check the app once you're there to be sure.

Is it safe to come out now that we’re no longer trying to debate whether or not “What would Walt do/like” is a terrible way to run a theme park (it is)
I mean…. You just stirred the pot by adding nothing to the topic and giving your one sided opinion.

I would hope that everyone agrees that Walt ran and designed the park with many good ideas that should still remain, even if other ideas should evolve.

By the looks of it it's not very one sided.

And yes I think we can all agree with that, but this contingent of folks who think that Walt's way was gospel and that anything different is a sin is just not living in the real world. Walt Disney's visions and beliefs ceased to be timely and useful in 1966, and this insistence that his way of looking at things should hang over the company to this very day is a great way to get the company killed.

We're sitting here discussing whether or not Deadpool should be at DCA because would Walt have wanted that?

Walt Disney is gone. He has been gone since long before most of us on this forum were ever born, and certainly long before most of the people visiting Disneyland Resort day to day were born. Why then should what he would or would not have liked bear any relevance to what is there today? Why let the whims of a man who has been deceased for almost 60 years dictate what people who're living in an insanely different world get to experience and enjoy?

I bring it back up because Walt Disney diehards throw this sentiment around any time the company does something they disagree with it, and it's just an insane way of looking at things. No company worth any bit of respect or paying attention to would guide themselves according to laundry list of ideas and beliefs that were formed by a man who is no longer here in response to a world that no longer exists.

There are indeed some core tenants of his vision that should--and do--remain. They should always remain. But I feel people are routinely trying to advocate for these parks to be run the same exact way Walt ran them when he was alive, even though that would make them worse parks, and a worse experience for the guests that come to enjoy them today.

All that to say, it doesn't matter whether or not Walt would've wanted Deadpool at DCA. Walt is dead.

I think all ideas should be re-evaluated consistently. Where Walt started and his vision is set and conversations can certainly have that perspective, but the past is merely a foundation for current leadership to build off of, not to be restricted to.

Honestly one of the weirdest things I see you and others type on this board - as if it’s a good thing.

I’ve never claimed otherwise. I don’t even believe he’s frozen!

But Deadpool storytelling at DCA isn’t even the worst part of DCA! If we can get a show at the Hyperion and trolleys moving again I’ll personally attend every deadpoool performance and allow him to use me to demonstrate his bj joke!

No we were discussing if BJ jokes are appropriate inside a Disney park. I never brought up Walt once.

Can you show us a video of this joke? I'm wondering if it's being confused with a clip from the movie.
It did exist - but it was something along the lines of “on your knees” if it wasn’t Deadpool the joke wouldn’t be a bj joke.

That joke itself isn’t the worst I’ve heard in a Disney park (citizens of Hollywood and comedy warehouse would get a little out there with the improv).

Again is there a video of it? Context is everything, especially when it comes to in the moment jokes.

Also if it isn't the worse heard inside a Disney Park why is there even a discussion about it? This really seems arbitrary at this point.

I’m sure there is, I’m just saying me memory of it.

why is there a discussion about earl of sandwich moving? Cause I’m hungry!!!

Don’t want to discuss it? Don’t.

My issue is with Deadpool being part of the “Disney family” at all. The actual show he does doesn’t offend me.

Its just a video has been asked for now a bunch of times and no one has posted it. So its comes across as though this is really a much ado about nothing situation.

I have no issue discussing it. My point was that some here have made this all about this single one-off joke. And if there are other things said inside the Parks by other Disney Parks characters that are deemed worse but never really brought up as an issue then this is all really just arbitrary.

As for your overall issues with Deadpool being part of Disney, well that is a larger discussion maybe not had in this thread. But like I said I have no issues discussing it, obviously as you can probably tell.
