Um, actually while Wish reviewed poorly, it did perfectly fine at the box office
With an estimated budget of nearly $200mil (not counting marketing or any other expenses) and a total box office of $250mil, Deadline estimated that Wish lost around $131mil.

Of course other revenue streams like merchandise, streaming, physical media, etc might have lead to it being a success overall, but it definitely was a box office disappointment

Um, actually, the event was only known as Disney100.
Close enough!

While mostly just called Disney100 it did have an official full name. The 100 Years of Wonder

100 Years of Magic was the celebration from 2001 the celebrated what would have been Walt Disney's 100th birthday

The activity seems to be winding down and the bowl of popcorn I made for myself has run out. So, let's wrap things up with one last question! Don't be shocked if I randomly post more questions throughout the week!

Um, actually, Dinoland USA won’t be missed by many due to its cheapness. (That’s all I can think off).

Um, actually the current incarnation of the ride Dinosaur is rebranded and heavily changed from the original ride (named Countdown to Extinction sponsored by Mcdonalds), meaning that technically the current ride known as Dinosaur has not been around for 28 years

Thank you all for playing "Um, Actually...", I had a great time and I hope you did too!

I've got a few more questions written up, so don't be shocked if you see a few more posted randomly over the next week. Feel free to post your own questions too!

Also, don't forget that this is just the beginning of Imagineering Weekends, @PerGron is taking over with the premier of Chaos Debates next weekend!

Bummer, it was over before I even began. I'll have to peruse the other pages.

Umm…actually the original version of the game is also set at USJ (though I distinctly remember the game saying that it was an amalgam of different Universals for some reason) and was itself released to promote the park.

And I’m also not sure the Konami version was reviewed any better than the original? Or that it was any different other than the art style, right?

Correct! It was always USJ even in the original Gamecube version. I think the amalgam idea came from only focusing on attractions that were at multiple Universal parks, but it was pretty distinctly USJ

The Konami version was actually very distinct. Not just a new art style, but the park was fully 3D Modelled to explore instead of just pre-rendered static backgrounds. Plus, there was more of a story. Plus, while the minigames were similar they still rebuilt them. Plus, added a water world minigame instead of just having a cutscene. How much of an improvement it was is up for debate especially considering how little info there is about it available online (not on metacritic as far as I can see). But it is essentially a fully new game

That must be a truly insane thing to happen on a vacation! At the time, how Suessical did the trees seem?
Very!

I was 7 so my memories are a little hazy. But I can remember being at Magic Kingdom when the rain started and taking refuge in our suite at Old Key West (at the time just called Disney’s Vacation Club Resort). I kept The Weather Channel on the whole time, which was the only time in history that I didn’t have the Resort Channel loop on.

Let me try doing a question:

“After focusing on plenty of originals throughout the beginning of the decade, both Walt Disney Animation Studios & Pixar have started to make sequels to their beloved movies. These include Moana & Inside Out 2 in 2024, Zootopia 2 in 2025, Toy Story 5 in 2026, Frozen III in 2027, & Incredibles 3, Cars 4 & Frozen IV all coming in the future!”

Um, Actually... Moana 2 was not made by either Pixar or WDAS since it was originally meant as a TV series on streaming. It was made by Disney Toon studios iirc
