Refurbishment coming to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort lobby

Looks finished. Just checked in and has new lights, everything ready including payment systems

Assuming the artwork is accurate, two things still seem to be missing, including that face panel for each of the "dormers" in the cage roof and the vine detail wrapping around each of the support pillars. Of course, it's also totally possible the design has changed since the art was done.

I think this gives a good idea that everything can exist, the bar really isn’t taking up much more space in the lobby than the birdcage was. They can make it all work. If anything the bar ADDED seating to the lobby. The menu is purposefully not super exciting, get some beer or wine and enjoy, it’s not a trader Sam’s. And everyone “but now the lobby will be full of people” yah! The lobby is the social hub of the hotel, let it be lively.

I like the stained glass. As someone who enjoys the piano music I’m guessing it will be a bit louder with drink orders and people chatting at the bar - but the piano will soon move when they put up the tree anyways.

Wow! I actually love it! The dark wood really grounds the space! And the stained glass is beautiful.

Really looks stunning. Just a shame it’s not a complete bar, the back looks empty.
