I'm assuming that a no fly zone wouldn't prevent Disney itself from doing its own drone show.Disneyland is a no-fly zone. If I remember correctly this includes drones too and is why they haven't made an appearance inside the parks. The drones are outsourced too so it's not Disney doing it, but another company. So a drone show somewhere might be probable. In the parks though... very unlikely.
Excuse me!?!?Disneyland is a no-fly zone.
Correct. I noted it just to further show the difficulty with them doing a drone show in the parksI'm assuming that a no fly zone wouldn't prevent Disney itself from doing its own drone show.
I think they would have to get approval from the FAA to do so.I'm assuming that a no fly zone wouldn't prevent Disney itself from doing its own drone show.
Was it not Disney itself that requested the no fly zone?I think they would have to get approval from the FAA to do so.
I'm not sure, I know they requested to fly drones in magic kingdom a couple of years back and I'm not sure if it ever got approved. I know they did the drone in Disney Springs because the no fly zone doesn't go over Springs. I'm sure how it is in California though. Was it not Disney itself that requested the no fly zone?
And if that's the case, would it not self-evidently be the case that a drone show that the company itself produces is different from anything else that might fly above the property?
I’d think so too but with a couple hundred fireworks shows a year someone at Disney is probably on a first name basis with every FAA decision maker within 100 miles of DL.I think they would have to get approval from the FAA to do so.
I know some folks here would like to add a comment or question to this post
From my somewhat limited understanding of FAA rules, it doesn’t really matter if they’re the ones who requested the no fly zone, they are still beholden to it and have to get permission to break it.Was it not Disney itself that requested the no fly zone?

New Fantasmic ???
I checked a recent livestream this weekend and the fountains are not all fixed/moving.Saw the show on 10/22 for the first time since the dragon was lost. Show condition was better than expected - most of the pyro and all the fountains are working and moving, but the Little Mermaid / King Louie barge was missing and the water fire was also MIA. The finale is REALLY underwhelming without it. Having nothing to look at besides Maleficent and Mickey flailing their arms around on stage is pretty ridiculous.
New Fantasmic ???
People were saying that when it was "live-streamed" there wasn't anything actually happening there at that time. So I think it wasIs this the part they filmed at like 2 in the morning a day or two before the race?
