Trip Report Tu in ‘25

Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise
Tu in ‘25

These lyrics came to mind when I thought about my trip reporting. (I also thought, Here we go AGAIN but the above sounds much more poignant.) It’s now that time of year when my Disney trips are frequent. And this Disney Senior loves sharing her visits with y’all because your engagement makes it fun!

Yes, there will be stuff that’s the same. Yes, there will be surprises (too soon for the reveals). And yes, there will be sun rises!

Spring break countdown is at 4 days.

Since this intro needs a picture, here are Tu.

I really wanted to try the specialty Mickey Bar at POP but never had the appetite for it. Thanks to Em for trying it and not making me feel so bummed for not trying it. Being sick at Disney sucks.
I looked and couldn't find it. I assume it was at the ice cream/float station, but there was no advertisement, so I didn't get one. Thanks for taking one for the team Em!

We thought there would be a large advertisement also but this small sign was all there was -

I’m betting a similar placard was at the ice cream station at Pop and you (understandably) didn’t notice it.

We were on and off Pooh so quickly that we hoped to get in another attraction before early entry ended.

Dare we try Peter Pan?

We dared. Not sure what the posted wait time was when we entered but the line was moving.

I caught the sun’s morning illumination on the Tangled restrooms. So pretty!

@Zipadeelady I took this one for you!

Em and I did it - we were off Pan at 7:57 am!

Tuesday, con’t

I forgot to mention two cute conversations we overheard during early entry.

Mom to her young son: “It’s Winnie the Pooh, not Winnie the Pool!”

Another mom to her kids, as she’s reading the list of MK attractions: “We’ve got Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.”
Kids: “What’s that?”
Mom: “I don’t know, but it’s brand new.”

Haunted Mansion’s opening was delayed again so we headed this way ~

IMG_9500.jpeg

I was happy to see that this new Adventureland sign (which was just replaced) still features the “hidden” Abu.

IMG_9501.jpeg

The Tiki statues were smoking early!

IMG_9502.jpeg

My last Jungle Cruise adventure with Woody was a bust. I was hoping not to sit next to the engine today and that the sound system would work so the skipper could be heard.

IMG_9503.jpeg

This was the emptiest queue we’d ever experienced!

IMG_9504.jpeg

IMG_9505.jpeg

Em and I walked right onto that docked boat in the picture above. We got a great place to sit away from the engine and the boat was barely half-full when we pulled away from the dock.

Skipper Holly was a hoot. She began with, “We are going to have so much fun!”

IMG_9506.jpeg

“ Oh…..I mean disappointment.”

IMG_9508.jpeg

As we passed the elephant mother-in-law: “What’s the difference between in-laws and outlaws?”

IMG_9509.jpeg

“Outlaws are wanted.”

Her puns were fast and furious and I cannot remember most of them. Let’s just say that this cruise more than made up for my last one!

It is crazy how much Disney is charging for their Mickey ice cream these days! Hope you were feeling better after a night's sleep. I love when you can make it to the MK that early and walk on certain rides that would normally have long waits!!! We never made it on Winnie the Pooh, JC or PP this last trip as it's just so difficult to get my DH to the park that early.

Two items of interest in the next pic.
1. Could the CMs look any more bored/disinterested?
2. That family is wasting a LL.

IMG_9510.jpeg

There weren’t any people in the standby queue!

IMG_9511.jpeg

Like our experience at Jungle Cruise, we literally walked onto a boat.

IMG_9512.jpeg

The AAs were static in this scene.

IMG_9514.jpeg

Observations from the fantastic ride photo:
1. Must have been a rough night for the couple in front if they are already sleeping before the ride gets started.
2. Em may have conquered GotG, but her wandering eyes are present here.
3. Clearly the guy behind me knows where the camera is. Clearly I don’t.
4. Hope the couple in the last row did not pay for Photopass, being “Mike Wazowskied” and all.

Em noticed that fall decor was present in Liberty Square.

IMG_9518.jpeg

IMG_9519.jpeg

While it was nice to see the extra effort in making the area more festive, the snarky side of me wonders if was an intentional distraction from the miles and miles of construction walls on the other side.

13 minutes? We’re in.

IMG_9520.jpeg

First ones out of the stretching room and I have the blurry photos to prove it!

Going by my pictures, we must have been magically transported to Tomorrowland by Happy Haunts.

IMG_9524.jpeg

And while caught up in that otherworldly realm, I made the decision to ride Space Mountain.

Which I have not done in several years.

A minimal wait can be the only logical explanation for my choice.

IMG_9525.jpeg

Well that and memory loss, because the herky jerky did a number on our backs.

IMG_9686.jpeg

Those smiles didn’t last long.

Our space journey came to an abrupt halt just before the flashing tunnel at the end. We thought we might have to be evacuated which would be a positive - I’d have a story to share and we’d get a recovery LL (to use on something else! 😉)

But after a couple minutes the ride restarted and our rocket cruised into the unload zone.

We opted to jump on the Peoplemover next in case Space Mountain went down again and we could see the inside with the lights on.

IMG_9526.jpeg

No such luck.

We found more autumn in Storybook Circus.

These were ❤️❤️❤️

Treats carried the theme into the Big Top.

IMG_9529.jpeg

Em and I got two more attractions in (for a total of 9 @lindawdw) before our 11 am lunch.

Little Mermaid, where Scuttle had flown the coop.

IMG_9530.jpeg

Was Ursula at fault? Her eyes suggest maybe….

IMG_9534.jpeg

Oh there he is….in hiding.

(The giant blur of a hand is mine, attempting a Woody wave.)

And Philharmagic.

Em had a hankering for a turkey club and a milkshake and managed to get an ADR. I can’t remember if it was same-day or the day before.

IMG_9543.jpeg

We arrived a few minutes prior to the restaurant opening and hung out here.

IMG_9540.jpeg

My last experience at the Plaza (with Woody in May) wasn’t so great and I had some trepidation about revisiting so soon. I needn’t have worried. We got seated on time and our server, Jesus, was outstanding. The turkey club and chocolate shakes were delicious.

IMG_9541.jpeg

IMG_9542.jpeg

Perhaps I should save my Plaza visits for when I’m traveling with Em. :hilarious:

Wow, I'm not sure I'll ever get 9 attractions in before lunch with my DH! 🤣 I missed so many decor details on this last trip. In all fairness, we didn't spend much time at MK this past trip being that we were staying at an Epcot resort. Your lunch at The Plaza looks so delicious!
