Yes, I do see that. View attachment 890544View attachment 890545

There’s also a loop of track missing - with a walk through attraction replacing it and a water feature replacing the previous ride.

So actually…. Maybe there have been some cuts already?View attachment 890546View attachment 890547
The first concept art is architectural not true concept in the literal sense - those who are familiar with my work know that I have been saying ad nauseum that certain pieces of artwork disney put out aren't "oh its just concept - it wont look like this" types of work that many proclaim - these artworks are architecturally sound with frames of reference that when i use my methods of reverse engineering layouts are scarily accurate - recently I had a building layout for Monsters Inc that was extremely accurate when we got the permits and site work marked out. Im not saying these works don't have creative "flourishes" designed to make them look a little more sexy or disguise a show building they dont want you to know is there (monsters only drew the frontage and no gravity building) or that things will be cut - but generally they are remarkably consistent to final product and drawn from plans not ideas . my point is every time they release these specific works I pay attention. What I don't pay attention to is a vector drawn cartoon fun map - i personally believe the first work was a bit too accurate and hid these artificial rivers (i missed them on the first pass!) so was too boring and they needed to show the final product will be closer to what was there before because of people kicking up a fuss about losing rivers. Also when I cross reference the layout I transcribed with the other artwork they dropped its consistent with features.

This looks great! Thanks for all of your work. Do
You think there will be a show scene or two hidden in the caves?

That’s my take as well - the first work is basically what the area will actually look like.

What do you make of the missing 2nd attraction in the cartoon?
I see what would lead people to think its been cut, but i am not convinced anything drastic has changed in terms of layout,

the barn behind the piston peak sign with the fence line choral in front is what i took to be the B ticket ride . It may be they've re routed the track path and shifted that ride to the middle to value engineer people crossing the ride track to get to it. this would shorten the track even more - its already a lot shorter than the DCA ride. It could also just be they want everyone to know how theyve thought about it matching up to BTM and drawn it bigger to make a point.

@Fox&Hound when i first saw it i think that was the case, but i think its a bit elaborate and i think just maybe scenes before it leaves the show building and the one when you get to the end of the race

Without show scenes this sounds more and more like the speedway, which is disappointing. Especially if the cars are on a slot/track. What differentiates this? Elevation changes?
That's what I am wondering. For all the hype, I am hoping it's not just a dirt hill offroading experience one could do anywhere, with Cars thrown in.
has anyone suggested that might be the case?

And even if it is… Why are people justifying cuts!? The other one I read is “I’d rather the ride be shorter and have more water”
This. No cuts are excusable for all the hype and what we are losing for this. They need to do it right. There's a lot riding on this with the recent flops. They need to actually deliver.

That would be me! It’s not a justification (I’m not sure why you would frame it that way), but an honest statement of my feelings. The area in question was never about attractions for me (I rode the boat seldom and visited the island only once), so it stands to reason that I would continue to prioritise its beauty and ambience over the length of whatever ride they’re putting in.

I was just speculating, and looking at it more in terms of maximizing the space vs budget cuts. It doesn’t seem like they have a massive amount of space to work with here, especially compared to RSR.

I’d rather have the best possible version of this E-ticket than the spinner… but if both happen that’s even better

If the C ticket was cut in order to plus the main ride with additional show scenes, I’d be more than happy with that
It's very much not a C ticket ride - thats important because of the footprint required. The second attraction firmly sits in the B-Ticket category
It's likely to be a lift from DCA, probably the luigis tyre ride (sorry i dont know the name) if its the same ride as A. SS the footprint is the same but why clone
The layout i got from the initial artwork, even with a margin of error on my part, fits the ~30m x ~40m footprint.

Assumption that this is cut is based off inaccurate artwork, which doesn't show additional show scenes. Like I said, if they want the B ticket to be in the plaza area it means they will make the final loop near BTM tighter it doesnt give more room for show scenes . it just shortens the track layout, which would be fun circling round the B ticket

either way, a show scene is going to set you up at the beginning of the ride and the artwork they dropped shows one at the end, if they have AAs along the route do you not count them as scenes too? its going to be slower than test track/RSR anyway otherwise this thing will be shorter than tron

No
I was hoping for a cave scene like the end of radiator springs racers with the stalactite car lights. That would fit in nicely and add to this ride…I also hope the wintery mountains from the concept art makes it because it would add a different element to this space.
I still fail to see how they can fit all of this widely-ranging terrain in the bottom basin of the RoA. It's not THAT large of a space.
