I don't know why you think you'll get hate. Disney might get hate but not an individual fan. There are a lot of us that hate, hate and hate some more, the loss of Rivers and TSI, but at the same time hope that since it is a great loss to us we expect that what is going to replace it will be top notch and worth the sacrifice. If it turns out to be a mess and not worthy of it's location, that's when you will really see the hate. It is a big challenge for the Disney planners, lets hope they are up to it this time.

In the meantime it is better to just hope for the best and accept that it is way to late to change the plans. The river is gone and it ain't coming back. No amount of whining will change that, so lets just hope they are up to the challenge.

This is the construction thread. You want the other one.

I don’t think it will be a mess, but I also think it’s going to look pretty much like the concept art. I’m mostly curious about the ride system.

Based on the art…. I think it’s going to be similar to new fantasyland. Lots of rocks with some water features.

Then you are saying that the fun map is, at least, somewhat the same but presented in a way that is also somewhat clearer. On top of that it's fun. Which is exactly the way we all hope it will be. 🙂
I’m not against the fun map existing - but it shows less detail and not more.

My biggest fear is that the fun map was created because there are going to be significant cuts (ala Toy Story land) to what we originally saw. My hope is that the finished project resembles the original concept art cause that’s as good as this project can get.

Exactly. More excitement/hope seemed to some from the "fun map" than the concept art (comparatively speaking imo)
Many people liked the Fun Map more (whether they realize it or not) because it didn't show any cars, balloon arches, cheap racing signs, and flatscreen TVs. You can look at the Fun Map and if you didn't know anything about the history of the project, you wouldn't know that path was a racetrack and cars were going to be driving through there.

It's giving classic Frontierland vibes, like Nature's Wonderland. Is it a bait and switch or did they make the wise choice to nix all the modern cable-sports racing stuff?
