Concrete slab work is straight forward as long as you have surface preparation, a consistent uniform product mix, uniform depth, and no geometric weirdness (that's differential shrinkage, stress concentration, improper framework, inadequate control joints, and worst of all, soil movement under the slab). Unless everything is a uniform square or rectangle, you're going to have issues.

So.... Comcast should've picked a different chunk of land to build the park on?

I'm surprised this got no air time on this thread. The ticket restrictions are lifting.
Sadly no AP admission yet.

I'd get a 3 or 5 day to us 3 or 5 days at Epic if the requirements to use within a set period of time weren't so inflexible.

This is really tone-deaf lol. It would 100% be better optics to have nothing there except employees to answer questions than to place unthemed lawn decorations in front of your brand new E-ticket with a beautiful facade.
Must say, I do think people would go nuts if Disney did that. People got upset enough about the children's activities of Cool Kids Summer.

From the Comcast Q3 report:

The early success of Epic Universe contributed to 19% revenue growth at our Theme Parks, reflecting the strength of our newest attractions and the enduring appeal of the Universal brand.

I mean, they're there to answer questions as well.

Some people will never be satisfied.

Gross revenue up 19% compared to 3rd Q of last year.

Gross expenses went up, too.

Net profit of parks is 13% increase.

19%/13% doesn't seem like a whole lot for a bet on a brand new theme park, right?
It's just one quarter of all their parks. Not too bad. Especially since we've seen attendance at USO&IOA go down .

Comcast as a whole saw decreasing profits .

They did a stock buyback to goose their stocks .

+USH is down
+UOR attendance is down (USF and IOA)

Singapore is in the middle of a major investment (just opened Minions). And Japan is awaiting Pokemon.

HHN was a massive hit this year... so I'm actually surprised to see it that low with a combined new park + HHN event that is exploding at the seams.

Not much of a shock to me, but Q4 should be interesting to see.
