Len Testa - “Disney positions itself as the all-American vacation. The irony is that most Americans can’t afford it.”

If you are in love with them so much, why weren’t you on a plane to Jamaica yesterday? I mean, I wouldn’t willingly spend money to go somewhere that isn’t home so I can ride out a natural disaster (which if you on on a vacation to an area about to be hit by a hurricane is exactly what you are doing) but you do you.
You’re off your script here a bit

Jamaica…nor anywhere in the Atlantic…gets pounded by storms with frequency

Are you just noticing storms for the first time…because I seem to remember back along time…

And they come buy every few years…with relatively few direct hits…

And not all that many in October

I think Netflix will make an offer to buy Disney in the near future. Disney has a dwindling stock price, a succession nightmare, washed up distribution, and a content problem as well. Netflix, which is on the path towards becoming a trillion dollar company, will buy Disney and become the undisputed leaders in scripted media.
Is that a joke? Seriously? Netflix is a giant bubble that has lost a lot of its earlier steam imo its still clutching on a BIGGGGGGGGG maybe

The peak date…for all Those fancy Weather people and like…NASA and stuff…is September 10th…

They happen before and after…7 months a year give or take…actually

For instance…one went right over my house on October 29th once 😱

So by your logic should I hide in Florida that day from now on?

I was actually looking at the spot where the picture attached was taken 2 days later for work

Where you living in fear at again?

Yeah…you know what Forrest Gump said about it: it happens

Good news is it’s not expected to hit wisconnnsin 👍🏻
I guess you really don't get out of your bubble much. Wisconsin had our own issues with massive historic flooding back in early August.

What does that chart tell you?

Don’t fly anywhere in the Atlantic at any time?

Is that why you don’t go to Orlando?🤔
Chart tells me to not go to the Carribean Aug-Oct as 82% of hurricanes occur during those months. You might of missed, I’m currently in Florida, Florida isn’t an island which makes it infinitely more easier to bug out for safe ground if a storm starts heading this way. Jamaica’s airport closed last night, the storm doesn’t come until Tuesday. Can you imagine all the people who vacationed there stuck there now for at least a week because they didn’t get out 72 hours before landfall? No thank you, besides my job would kill me.

Nobody in Florida is deathly afraid of hurricanes…

That’s what they do in Pittsburgh

Your work wouldn’t “kill you” either…is my strong suspicion

Typically they don’t dispose of bodies as a standing HR policy 🤓

Just going to avoid my answer and continue to lob insults, ok then we’re done. I’ll reiterate myself again, don’t take a Carribean Island Vacation Aug-Oct. Visit the other 9 months, far less likely to have a hurricane ruin it.

You’re entire rant on this is a bit insane…

levity is the response.

“I’m in Florida…im
Smart cause I can drive away…cause my work would kill me…”

Need to have that script tweaked…me thinks

The whole diatribe has been irrational

Not technically true--May and June are also big Hurricane months. I have been going to WDW late May/early June for 15 years now and on 2 occasions have played a little hide and seek from hurricanes but have been lucky enough to always gotten out of Dodge before one hit.

Hurricanes can still happen anytime, but only 18% of named storms occur historically Nov-July.
